Brent Johnson Fights Rick DiPietro: Goalie Fight Video {Fanhouse NHL Blog}
Feb 3rd 2011 10:51AM I'm confused. The story starts by saying that out of nowhere, Johnson found himself squaring off with DiPietro, making DiPietro sound like the aggressor and Johnson the target. Then the story goes on to say (and the video confirms) it was actually Johnson who skated the length of the ice to attack DiPietro. How does Johnson go out of his way to fight someone and then out of nowhere find himself squaring off against that person?
David Akers' Missed Playoff Kicks Came During Daughter's Cancer Scare {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 30th 2011 7:20PM That's an interesting point, Flipper, it's sort of the other side of the Jay Cutler controversy. Is an injured or distracted starter going to be better than a healthy or clear-thinking backup? It's a tough call either way.

Rachael Ray Apologizes for Negative 'Dancing With the Stars' Comments {PopEater}
Jan 29th 2011 5:53PM It was very kind and totally in character for Ms. Ray to apologize, but she didn't have to. Mr. Christensen, needs to grow a thicker skin. When you're a clothing designer, some people are going to like your work, some people aren't, for whatever reason. Demanding an apology from people who don't care for your clothes is incredibly spoiled and immature.
NFL Should Look To Hockey, Soccer on Flagrant Fouls {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 29th 2011 5:46PM Before the league institutes anything as drastic as having players sit out a few plays penalty-box style, they need to improve the accuracy and consistency of the on-field calls. A lot of hits that generate fines aren't even penalized during the game, the fines are only levied after the league reviews the replay after the fact. Similarly, a lot of hits that are penalized are determined to be legal after the replay shows a hit was actually to a shoulder pad and not a helmet; a helmet hit was caused by the ball carrier ducking his head before the hit; or something like that. It's bad enough when a 15-yard penalty is later shown to be unwarranted, let alone if an ejection is later shown to be unfair.
Jay Cutler's Critics Need to Man Up and Apologize {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}
Jan 26th 2011 2:55PM Well said Mr. Blackistone. And thank you for letting us know that at least Matt Barnes apologized. I wasn't aware of that, and respect him more for doing so. I wish that had gotten as much media coverage as his original tweet, for the sake of fairness!

The Works: Who Are the NBA's Worst Players? {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Jan 26th 2011 12:22PM Agree that this "article" is one of the biggest wastes of time ever on Fanhouse. There aren't even meaningful arguments as to why these guys are on the list, it's just a couple of guys making fun of players' names and making cheap BJ sex references. It's more like a transcript of two drunk college frat boys at a bar rather than any kind of real sports opinions.
