Feb 6th 2011 8:42PM I honestly like Anderson Cooper, but he kind of deserved this! People are fighting. You aren't helping by sticking a camera in their faces. You also aren't helping by trying to interview people. This should be a lesson learned, honestly! And this should go for all news media and anchor personnel who feel that they have the right to stick a camera or try to get a story where they have no business being and where people are obviously not in the right mindframe to give an interview. It's about time something like this has happened. It should happen more often for people to get the point..........sometimes its best to mind your business. Sadly, once again we see how the media chose to be so hungry for a story that they have resorted to putting themselves and their crew in danger. Yeah, thats your job - but at what point do you draw the line? Oh yeah, you do that when someone gets hurt or attacked.......which is usually typical of US behavior!

Feb 6th 2011 8:32PM Pardon me for NOT CARING! Yeah she fumbled, but so what? The crowd managed to somehow still love and show how patriotic they were even after the minor fumble by clapping and cheering. This will be old news in five minutes anyway. If anyone cared to look closely, the players who were caught on this camera footage above seemed into the song and I honestly feel that the audience was too. Get over it and stop reporting stupid things that really don't matter!

Nov 17th 2010 3:36PM Please allow me to see what I am missing here. When I look at that pic, I see a woman who chose to wear something comfortable on a planeride. She has every right to wear that outfit regardless of what we think. Some of the comments that you guys have written are just plain rude and disrespectful. Other comments have nothing to do with the pic at all. I don't know where some of this hate comes from, but I guess you guys would be bitching and throwing your hateful remarks regardless of whose pic was up there.

Oct 10th 2010 11:16AM Let us not forget that our children already know about sex, drugs, and violence from watching television, going to the movies, looking at a billboard, and even through flipping through the pages of a magazine. As a teacher, I feel these books are harmless. It's ironic how parents will go to great lengths to get their children the latest video game which encompasses violence and profanity as well as allowing your children to wear just about the first thing they see on the clothing rack - making them look as though they are heading to the club and not to class, BUT you same parents flip out when your kid is required actually to read a book, write a book report, and God forbid......actually get a decent passing grade for their work. Get over yourselves America.

Sep 20th 2010 9:44AM I must agree with the person who posted that much of this stuff derives from people lying on one another and not so much a syndrome. Granted, I do not have any type of degree in psychology, but I am just basing my opinion off of common sense. In this article, this young woman threw acid on herself and blamed some made up black woman. In another incident, a black person may just blame a white person for something that is totally made up. The bottom line here is that these people are liars. Maybe they need to be arrested because that may just be the only way that people will learn to tell the truth. Blaming others for our own wrongdoings is something that we learn not to do when we are young so it is unbelievable to me how ADULTS are still doing this and trying to get away with it. SHAME ON THEM. No wonder our youth are all screwed up, they do not have role models that have any commonsense.

Sep 20th 2010 9:13AM It is so sad that this violence is occuring within our black communities. When will our young people realize that killing one another is senseless? The irony here is that the young boy who was murdered attended Emmett Till school. Emmett Till was also a young boy around the same age as this child who lost his life, who was murdered by white men for "supposedly" whistling at a white woman. Allegations that were never proven. All of this killing needs to stop. Blacks were first killed by others and now we are dying at the hands of each other. I need these men and women to pick up a book and educate themselves and their children because it's obvious that without education we as black people are nothing.

May 5th 2010 7:21PM Don't get me wrong because I am a fan of hers. This woman can definitely sing her heart out but have we nothing better to do than talk about her teeth? Who cares about such things? People have dental surgery every single day and there aren't stories about them and how much they shelled out for their pearly whites. As for the negative comments regarding her hair and claiming that black females are looking "almost caucasian" - please get over yourselves. Just because a person has a wig on doesn't mean they want to be white, I don't know where you got that from, but take it back because it just sounds ignorant. No one says anything when we see countless caucasian men and women go to the tanning salon to get darker. No one claims they are "almost black". So stop your nonsense. As for the black self-hatred - it really isn't that serious. It's only a wig for crying out loud. And there is nothing wrong with wearing them and it certainly doesn't mean she or any other black female hates themselves because they chose to wear one...............and I say this all the while being a black woman who's never had a perm and has a head full of thick natural hair pass my shoulders. Stop judging people and learn to accept them for who and what they are.

People have been doing this for quite some time now. And they haven't made the news. Should it really be called news if writers and editors are pulling nonsense out of the air just to make a story......????
