Neil Patrick Harris Backtracks After Twitter Rant About 'HIMYM' Guest {PopEater}
Dec 18th 2010 8:06PM " I'm sick as hell of these clowns in Hollywood making millions playing characters they either hate in real life or aren't even close to being in real life."
So you are saying that ACTORS should only play characters that they are close to being in real life? Here's ahint...it's called ACTING.

Umpire Bob Davidson's Blown Call Costs Marlins Victory {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Aug 6th 2010 9:07PM Think! In this type of call you can NOT appeal to another umpire. He ALREADY called it FOUL. You can't go and change it to a fair ball when you have runners rounding the bases.
Half swings, home run or foul ball...yes, but not in this type of play.

Aug 6th 2010 8:47PM If you look at the video, the umpire was right where he should be and he said it went over the bag in FOUL territory and then curved into fair territory.
To the people who keep blathering about the umpire not seeing when the ball actually hit on fair territory AFTER 3rd base....IT DOES NOT MATTER. It's NOT where the ball lands, it's where it was as it passed the bag at 3rd base.
The ball was FOUL before 3rd base and curved weirdly into fair territory AFTER 3rd base....But it looks like the ball passed 3rd base in FOUL territory and THEN curved into fair. The UMP was right.

Exactly correct. The only person in the best position to see where the ball was as IT PASSED THE BAG was the umpire. Play back the video and you can see the umpire was RIGHT ON TOP OF IT and was the ONLY one there. He says it was foul as it crossed the bag and curved fair AFTER the bag.
I umpired professionally for many years and it appears from the video that the umpire was correct.We would need a camera directly on the foul line to see where the ball was with regard the bag.

Aug 6th 2010 6:16PM The bottom line is WHERE the ball was when going over the bag. The video is taken at an angle so it can't really be seen.
The umpire is EXACTLY in the best position and he said it was FOUL while going over the bag. He was positioned PERFECTLY.

Jul 23rd 2010 12:24PM I was always a Bob Barker fan. I attended several tapings over the years but never got picked. I have a hard time acting like a moron when they do their 10 second screening to get chosen. (The best way to increase your odds of getting picked is to be an overweight minority, a ditzy female college student, a loud obnoxious jumping bean, a senile old lady or be in a military uniform.)
Anyway, I miss Bob and I, too, thought John O'Hurley would have been the perfect choice....looks, class, well dressed, and quick witted....much like Bob was. But with that said, Drew is doing OK. He really seems to be happy when contestants win. I've met Drew a few times and he is an extremely nice guy, one of the nicest in Hollywood.
Many of the tapings I attended were the ones right after Rod Roddy died so each time there was a different announcer basically auditioning. Rich Fields was a good choice, just like Rod and Johnny Olsen before that.
The loss of Rich and these new changes are going to destroy what's left of the show. It's almost impossible to watch the show as it is because the dramatic increase of simple-headed dancing idiots they pick as contestants lately is just too damn annoying.
Fremantle management are some of the lamest in the industry...even worse than most network executives....and they eventually wreck every show they produce.
