Four reasons airlines blame passengers for their current woes {Gadling}
Sep 14th 2010 12:03PM If you actually read the first paragraph of the article mentioned, it's about why passenger and journalist complaints are unfair and sometimes ridiculous. It also doesn't blame deregulation on passengers, it just says that it nearly caused that fictional airline out of business, and that fares now are very cheap ever since.
Also, on the first point about passengers not being willing to pay more, the point is that when fares are set above break-even point, passengers often choose not to fly at all. It doesn't say passengers should offer to pay above asking price. The conclusions here don't match the article at all.
Do you buy too much junk in third world countries? {Gadling}
Apr 15th 2010 11:12AM Yes, definitely. On my first trip to Bali, about 11 years ago, I bought chop sticks and candle sticks and carvings and various other things, to the point that I had to buy a new canvas bag to haul it all home in. Everything cost me maybe $40 total, which seemed like an amazing deal, yet almost all of it is still in the same box at home 11 years later.
Now I buy one tiny thing in places I like and that's it.
The 20 greatest cities in the world for foodies {Gadling}
Mar 11th 2010 9:13AM Not a bad list, although there are definitely a few clunkers on there. Venice? Edinburgh? I'm currently in Hoi An, Vietnam and this place is easily in my global top 3, not even considering the fact that it's also dirt cheap.
I'd also put Singapore and Bangkok way above Hong Kong, unless you are fixated on dim sum alone. And thanks for the extended name for Hong Kong. Otherwise I would haven't been sure just which Hong Kong you were referring to.

Feb 27th 2010 9:11AM Lose the weirdly-lit heckler and the out-of-place drink introductions (plus any other Diggnation homages) and this could be a great show. The original elements are strong so the copied stuff really drags it down.
