Each couple only knew what style of dance they were doing, they randomly picked a song from a list compiled for them. Otherwise, the couples might have worked on a jive, but had a song like "Teenage Dream" which wouldn't have worked....ok i c that but the idea was for them to only have 45 minutes to work up a routine. if they knew what songs they would pick before hand then they didnt do the routine workup in the 45 minutes they advertised.

Nov 11th 2010 2:12PM in the instant song thing the other night, the contestans drew a song from a hopper, to see what song they had to dance to. if the songs were supposed to be a surprise to the contestants, how come their names were on the cd's when they showed them to the audience?
