Oct 7th 2009 1:15PM Hmm, I much prefer my bluetooth headset, thanks.
Montreal Musts, to go: Get around by bike {Gadling}
Sep 23rd 2009 8:24AM I would agree that BIXI is a great idea for commuters (Point A to Point B), but it is rather expensive if you are looking for a bike for a half or whole day. Rent a bike from a local shop.
Megabus $1 fares still available for this fall {Gadling}
Sep 14th 2009 2:53PM I'm just waiting for them to connect their Northeast and Midwest services with a Chicago -> DC or Chicago -> Philly route that goes through Pittsburgh!
Supershuttle for $5 and 100 airline miles {Gadling}
Jul 22nd 2009 8:24AM Meh, supershuttle, town car... I prefer the bus in Pittsburgh. Maybe it takes 20 minutes longer but I only pay $2.60 each way.
Galley Gossip: A question about being a flight attendant on reserve {Gadling}
Jan 28th 2009 11:36AM So does the airline put you up in a hotel in New York while you are on reserve or is that your responsibility?
Happy Birthday Gadling! Win free premium tickets to Amsterdam on OpenSkies! {Gadling}
Oct 7th 2008 3:09PM I would use the free tickets to visit old friends in Amsterdam and throughout Germany.
Plane Answers: Rudder pedals, window shades and a call out for an actress {Gadling}
Sep 20th 2008 5:14PM Ken,
Wasn't the MD-80 emergency landing at an air force base? I think they asked them to close the shades for security reasons.
I was here first: Why don't people in some countries form neat, orderly lines? {Gadling}
Aug 21st 2008 6:38PM Jeff, I don't think this applies in general to Germans. I lived there 2004-2005 and got run over in the line to many a Ryan Air and Germanwings flight.
Galley Gossip: The mini motel for the commuting flight attendant {Gadling}
Jul 17th 2008 12:30PM This is awesome. How do airport policy/staff generally feel about such a thing? On more than one occasion I've had my small 2-person tent packed and considered setting it up for a long lay-over.
Being in Berlin: Are you a Currywurst or Döner person? {Gadling}
Jun 9th 2008 4:42PM The great thing about living in any city in Germany for a time, is that you quickly figure out where to find the best Döner. I generally rated the best Döner by the size and the quality of the vegetables, as the meat seems generally the same wherever you go. When I lived near Worms about 3 years ago, high-quality 2 euro döners were easy to find.
That said, I enjoyed currywurst but for some reason associated it with Weihnachsmärkt (Christmas Markets).
