Jun 16th 2011 12:08AM I lived on Bohol which is in the southern Philippines between Cebu and Mindanao for 8 years, (married a Filipina) and never had any problem. The state department says about staying out of Sulu, which a person needs a special travel permit to go to anyway, and Mindanao, which everyone knows is the main area under control of the rebels. Just like anywhere else, safety relies on simply common sense. I have never felt threatened anywhere in the RP and we plan to go back in 2013 for a visit to celebrate our 20th anniversary. May 27th 2011 6:19PM Although I can't agree with a 8 yr old hunting, I do think that once a kid is 10 they should be taught how to handle and respect a firearm. I myself started out using a .22 shooting groundhogs and rabbits that would get into my grandfathers garden. And we never even touched any of his guns without him being there because if we did we knew we would get hell for it. I am now 49, and have taught my own kids that above all else, if you have a gun you must respect it and what it can do. And although I have never taken them hunting, I do take them target shooting.

Feb 19th 2011 1:52PM It would seem that most of the people that have posted replies here don't really know much of history. The Kid only ever killed 3 people that can be proven. One was Sheriff Brady, and the other two were deputies. The reason he killed Brady was because Brady was involved in his employer, John Tunstal, murder. And the deputies were killed during his escape from the Lincoln County jail.
And as for Pat Garret being the one who killed the Kid, there is no proof that the man he killed was Billy. Garret by the way was murdered himself in 1913 as a result of a love triangle.

The Tea Party is indeed made up of a bunch of Morons and the Re"dumb"licans is think that Reagan was the closest thing to the second coming instead of what he really was, the worst president ever to hold the office. If these idiots and morons would wake up and see things for what they really are they would support the reforms that Obama has been trying to make. And let me remind them that the founders of this country were the most liberal men this world has ever seen and therefore I myself am proud to say I am a liberal just as this country was founded by liberals like Jefferson, Madison, Franklin etc.
