'Angelina' Tell-All Paints Shocking Picture of Jolie's Troubled Childhood {PopEater}

Jul 30th 2010 8:57AM Emotionally unstable - absolutely! Homely? Ummmm.... NO!

She is the proof of what my grandmother always said, "Beauty is only skin deep". But, she is beautiful.

M*A*S*H's 'Trapper John' makes his mark as an investor {Daily Finance}

Dec 9th 2009 7:38AM Jen,
Never got my last check. Considered taking him to court, but you know how that goes during a stressful time.

Could use the money. LOL

Dec 8th 2009 11:48PM Jen, Maybe we should have a roll call of those of us who worked for Swifty Serve and lost everything. Mr. Rogers knew full well what was going on and let it go on and on and on. .

Not sure if this posted before, so forgive me if it is duplicated:

AMEN!! I worked for that chain (Swifty Serve) and lost my job before the big shut down. I was hired as a trainer and during a training seminar, received a phone call that my 32
year old daughter had died. The second half of the training was the following day and because I wasn't able to complete training, I was terminated! Lost my medical insurance and received nothing.... I wasn't even allowed to get my cordless phone from the store. The builder (John Mabry) wasn't paid either. Not only did over 1600
people lose their jobs, some lost their homes.

Mr. Rogers can smile and tell all the glowing stories he wants, but he was fully aware of this situation and did nothing about it. I have no respect for this man!

BTW -- my final paycheck for $1400 bounced!

Dec 8th 2009 11:28PM AMEN!! I worked for that chain (Swifty Serve) and lost my job before the big shut down. I was hired as a trainer and during a mass training on the new register system, received a phone call that my 32 year old daughter had died. The second half of the training was the following day and because I wasn't able to complete training, I was terminated! Lost my medical insurance and received nothing.... Restaurant Calls Toddler F-Word on Check {Slashfood}

Sep 11th 2009 8:36PM One of the rudest ever encounters happened when we lived in Myrtle Beach, SC. Went to an ethnic restaurant for a nice little night out. The waitress took our order and left, presumably to get our beverages. We waited for about 10 - 12 minutes and just decided to have the water and not to make a fuss. Hubbies dinner came, but mine was nowhere in sight. I told him to go ahead and eat since his was hot and mine was a cold salad and I felt sure it was on it's way. Nearly half way thru the meal the waitress reappeared and asked if everything was alright. I "mentioned" my meal hadn't arrived yet and she expressed concern and again left. In the end the meal NEVER came!! During this entire time, the waitress was nasty! I almost felt as if it was my fault I was going hungry. We eventually finished and went to the register to pay and let the cashier know to take off the beverages and my meal ($60 check went to $28!). We did NOT leave a tip!!
Here is the unbelievable part!!! The waitress followed us out to the car! I didn't know she was there and she scared the fool out of me by banging on the window and yelled at us for not leaving a tip. WHAT?? I told her my meal never came and I didn't feel obligated to tip her. She was raising holy you-know-what in the parking lot.
A call to the owner the following day got us a free meal (which we never used!) and got her fired!

Romania to Buy Dracula's Castle {Gadling}

Jan 18th 2007 9:14PM Back in the 60's we visited the castle and found it beautiful. Very well appointed with fantastic architecture and furnishings. A taxi cab driver acted as our tour guide (common back then). I think we paid him the equivalent of $5 (20 Marks back then). That was for a group of 5!! He may not have known the entire history and may have made up the whole story, but he was amazing!! Made us laugh sometimes. Also, was able to point out things that only the "locals" knew. Another poster pointed out souvenir sellers. Weren't any in the 60's. LOL But the climb to the castle was daunting. Even for my then young legs.

T-Mobile dropping Catherine Zeta-Jones {AdJab}

Sep 28th 2006 9:21AM I'm seeing a common thread here,,, The only celebrities that we seem to like are animals. Gotta agree! I just spent 4 days at Aflac in Columbus, GA and was told "THE DUCK" sells! Yeah? No kidding? And whose idea was it to use a lizard for insurance? Crazy? Maybe. But that little guy sells. And, yupper,,,, Taco Bell isn't the same without that little dog. Hmmmm,,, Anybody remember Tony The Tiger? The Chik Filet cows? The Budweiser horses?
