Forgetting to earn miles when pre-ordering the iPad {Gadling}
Mar 14th 2010 9:16PM Apple does allow you to cancel certain orders that haven't shipped yet, according to this http://store.apple.com/us/help/viewing_changing_orders#cancel
"For each item that you can cancel online, you will need to select the item and a reason for cancellation. Once you’ve submitted your cancellation, we’ll send an email with your cancellation details." Unfortunately, the list of eligible reasons from the drop-down menu don't really fit my situation of being careless. Plus, my order has been divided into two separate shipments because the iPad case will be available before the 3G. Let's just say that the next time I'm 1,000 miles shy of earning a free ticket, I'll remember this!
