World War II Vet John Potter, 91, Faces Eviction by Daughter {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 26th 2013 9:16AM This daughter needs to be horse whipped. How dare her treat her fasther like this not to mention her sick brother. SHe hs no honor and no shame. How very sad that she is so greedy she feels the need to do this before he dies. It would be bad enough to take his home and kick her brother out after the father dies but while he is living is lower then low.

There are som esmart people out there and I can only pray that someone comes up with a plan to keep Mr. Potter and his son in thier home.

4 Fugitives Found Hiding Inside Home of Prince George, Va., Resident Charlotte Donahue {AOL Real Estate}

Feb 12th 2013 1:24PM I agree I owned (RIP) a Rhodesian Ridgeback (originally bred to hunt lions) and he would have ripped the throat out of anyone breaking into my house. He is gone now but I will say I always felt secure with him around. Even at age 6 or 7 weeks he would postion his self between me and anything he didn't know or understand. I have had GS in the past that were the same way. So yep dogs are a good idea, not to mention the complete and unconditional love you get from a dog.

Leonardo DiCaprio Puts Malibu Home on Market After Failing to Find Renter (House of the Day) {AOL Real Estate}

Nov 15th 2012 11:06AM Ughhh.... Dreadful thats all I have to say, looks like a business not a home. The kitchen is awful, I don't like much about the main house. What I think is the guesthouse is ok I would live there. But I don't care for the house. Maybe better pictures or a better idea of how the house is laid out would help. Not sure what would make it better. Color? Maybe just not sure..............

Historic Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia Offers a Home for the Ages (House of the Day) {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 19th 2012 11:26AM I lived right down the road from The Greenbriar. It is one of the most beautiful spots on the face of the earth. Wish I had never left. I have been gone for years and still call Lewisberg home. Friendliest people around also. L-berg has great little shops. The Greenbriar is full of history. It has a bunker for government officials should "the bomb" be launched, which for years was top secret. Now I think it might even be open for tours. In door pools 20 or 3, 18 hole golf courses, horseback riding, falconery and much much more. Just google Greenbriar and do the virtual tour AMAZING

Plan to Build Home on Top of Historic Heard Cemetery in Sandy Springs, Ga., Enrages Neighbors {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 8th 2012 3:36PM First off where I live property is auctioned off once a month on the court house steps for back taxes. No secret or anything.

Second off, if this cemetary dates back to 1900 and the neighbors want to stop this guy can't they have it declared a historical landmark? That way no one ever could touch it legally. I don't know it was just a thought.

New Jersey Home's Swimming Pool Is in the Living Room (House of the Day) {AOL Real Estate}

Sep 7th 2012 1:36PM It might be a salt water pool. I am in Texas and a friend of mine had the regular stuff removed from his pool and filled it with salt water.

Gary Harrington of Oregon Jailed for Illegal Rainwater Reservoirs on His Property {AOL Real Estate}

Aug 13th 2012 6:09PM Excuse me but the law in question is 87 years old. Some laws need to change with the times. If your going to outlaw water collection then outlaw all of it. It is his land and he should be able to collect water if he chooses to do so. I live in Fort Worth, Texas also called Cowtown. There is a law on the books from, I have no idea when, that states you can not drive a car on Main Street in downtown. But we do. Just think if some cop decided to start giving tickets to every car on Main? Not to mention the city buses. If you live down stream from him and want to collect water then you should be able to do so also. From what I saw in the picture it the "stock tank" was well maintained and offered a watering hole for all kinds of animals that might go without if it weren't for him. Not to mention the city/town said he could do it and gave him permits.

Principal Reduction: Is Debt Forgiveness Fair? {AOL Real Estate}

Aug 2nd 2012 6:13PM Good, bad, right, wrong, be aware that this is not the same as filing bankruptcy. With debt reduction and forgivness you "might" have to pay income taxes on what ever debt is forgiven.
