Along with a 2000 seat concert hall, already renowned for its acoustics, the Holland boasts a Courtyard for outdoor events(such as the Boston Brasss)and a 400 seat recital center for smaller ensembles. Performers range from extraordinary symphonies and musical groups to entertainers such as Lily Tomlin.
The Orpheum Theatre is another architectural marvel that has entertained patrons from vaudeville days to today's Broadway Season and ballet. One of the most exciting Broadway shows this season is The Lion King. Opera is also performed at the Orpheum with Tosca opening this week.
The Omaha Community Playhouse entertains us with shows such as The Christmas Carol (an annual treat), Little Shop of Horror, and Evita.
There are several art gallerys in Omaha, with a concentration in the Old Market area. Community theatre is also alive and well. Come visit Omaha - you'll be surprised!
