The numbers reflect the number of people on unemployment ,not the number of people that have already exhausted their benefits and are still not working. The economy is far worse then the government is letting us believe it is. Look at the crime rates and foreclosures and you'll get a better idea of the unemployment rate. We are sinking into an unbelievably deep hole that we'll be lucky to get out of.

Jan 2nd 2011 2:22PM Michigan has not had a football team or coach worth watching in the last 10 years. What makes you think that this coach was going to be anything better. Michigan needs to reavaluate their complete program and throw out all the BS and start over. I have been a loyal fan with a few friends having played there in past years. I will start supporting them again when they regroup with some real coaching staff and quit hiring idiots. Their program and athletic director needs changed. Stop just throwing out money until they prove themselves as coaching staff. Just because they were great in the minor college leagues does not meant they can hang with the big boys. Too much attention to the QB and not enough on the rest of them team. Any team that has a defense that is ranked in the 100's out of a 125 teams doesn't belong in a bowl game to begin with. Leave the football games to qualified coaches and the beans to the counters, not the other way around.

And anybody that supports their stupidity is just adding fuel to fire and money in their pockets.Wise up people,let them know you won't stand for them getting away with their actions by supporting them anylonger. There are far too many actor/actress's out there to be concerned with the ones that disregard rules. Hell,I'd like to throw around a few hookers, do a line of cocaine in public and thumb my nose up to authorities whenever I want to. But when the public support me in doing so and then pay me for doing it. Didn't think so. They all need to get a grip on life and follow the same rules and laws we do on a daily basis and not just when they release a new movie for ratings. Enough said.

Do you think they are just handouts to be getting an education? Think again. Every college does the same thing. You have all turned sports into a sham. Football player, golfers, baseball players,basketballers all make more money then doctors and scientist do. What's wrong with the picture. Stop the stupity. Don't support the sports payoff anylonger.If you pay to watch you are just as guilty as the guy who took or paid for the player to play. PERIOD
