Nov 24th 2010 8:22AM Excellent article, excellent advice. I travel frequently, both domestic and internationally, and already follow most of this advice - and have for years. The gel shoe insert is one I didn't know about.
People need to know it is not just U.S. where you will be screened. I had a serious patdown recently in Paris.
Nov 23rd 2010 6:00PM It wasn't a school picture, but a high-dollar photograhy studio that "corrected" my granddaughter's teeth in a large family portrait. Her mom didn't think too much about it when she picked up the photo and had it framed, but my granddaughter was upset and hurt. I can't imagine that they would alter a photo without asking.
Nov 11th 2010 4:22PM If you don't want to have the stupid things you said thrown in your face, don't say stupid stuff!
Sep 16th 2010 11:21PM Well, I can still wear the same earrings I wore in high school!
Sep 16th 2010 11:17PM My daughter wears a size 4, but when she tried on my size 10 wedding dress from 30 years ago, it wouldn't zip.
I recently ordered a pair of nice slacks on line and when they came they were at least 2 sizes too large.
Aug 26th 2010 11:29PM In a cafeteria, the woman in front of me was feeling all of the rolls with her hand. I guess I was staring because she turned to me and said "Some of these are cold."
At a drugstore I saw a woman open a package containing nail clippers and proceeed to clip her nails before sticking it back on the shelf.
Aug 25th 2010 6:48PM Reminds me of when my 3rd grade granddaughter grabs a hairbrush and does pretend rockstar. The dancing was so cheesy and amateurish. Seriously? This was on national TV?
Aug 13th 2010 10:33PM Seriously? Don't ask whether the job requires you to relocate? Wouldn't that be something you would need to know? Why does that question label you as "resistant in other areas"?
Jul 10th 2010 8:51AM My advice is to always keep looking for a better job - whether you're content in your present job or not. If things go badly at work, suck it up until you are able to move onward and upward (assuming there is nothing illegal or abusive in the situation). Then leave with grace and dignity.
Jul 5th 2010 4:35PM OK, I've never watched the show, but just reading this is very disturbing!! 8 to 9 pounds a week? that's insane! Also, do you get kicked off the show if you lose less than the others? What does that do to a fat person's already low self esteem?
