Port Orange HOA Tells Residents Yard Statues Aren't Allowed {AOL Real Estate}
Apr 5th 2013 9:30PM Why I will never live in area dictated by a HOA as I seen thier short and misguided efforts in lack of using common sense in the local news.
I have my fountain and various statues in my front yard and two entrances to gain access to each side of my house and back yard.
I have both chain link fencing and privacy fencing WHERE I WANT IT not where some HOA says it can be.
I park any where on my property I want, be it in the front, sides, or the back.
If I want to put up a flag pole or a basket ball hoop in the front yard so be it.
Shame on this HOA for going after this woman.
Michelle Hansen Tags Home With Message to Chase Bank: You're 'Stealing' My House {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 10th 2013 1:54PM Just a thought here
I am not forgiving this woman for her debt but what about all the really criminal acts those who work for Chase and the other banks got away with and got free tax payer money to swindle us with when it came to credit cards interest and fees.
I say how dare you Chase and Bank of America and others just like you
Your the real crooks

I hope to make a wes coast trip and stop again there but this time in my pickup truck and really stop and take the time to smell the rose's per say on my journey west.
Homeowners Association Forecloses on Vet for $340 {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 25th 2012 1:49PM Well this is a prime reason NOT to live where a HOA exist
I am a private property owner and I can do as I please within county guidelines.
The many reason's for not being part of a HOA
1. I can paint my home any color I want on the outside.
2. I can put up the fence of MY choice as I please.
3. Put up a flag pole or two or three if I want without someone with
anything better to do say you can't do that.
4. I can pick what grass and what plants I can grow in my yard and when.
5. I can park on the grass if I want to or have as many parties as I like.
6. I do not have the added cost of maintaining my home expenses because of
HOA dues
Need I say more, and by the way it was reported that the president of the HOA in this article refused to make comment.
I only hope she finds herself getting in a simaliar situation if and when she hits the age he is.
And yes I am a Army Veteran and shame on you HOA and more important the lawyer in this case who pushed the foreclosure who seeks such ill gotten gains.
But so everybody knows the judgeis not at fault as he is only following the law as it is wrote here in Florida.
But this is a classical example of why laws requarding HOA's need to be changed.
Behind The Ethanol Controversy {Translogic}
Oct 20th 2010 10:09PM Ethanol has always been a bad idea for gasoline motors as it reduce's over all cost effectiveness of gasoline motors - reduced miles per gallon,a 10% reduction in mileage on average with current cars.
As stated in article only vechiles made in 2007 or newer actually have the oxygen sensor's, fuel lines and other parts to accomadate this fuel additive which extends to higher repair and replacement cost.
This affects everyone who owns a older model car, truck, motorcycle, and the majority of home owner's who have outdoor and sports equipment i.e. boats and lawnmowers which do not run well on Ethanol.
A point not mentioned is that using fuel that contains Ethanol in some cases voids warranties of gasoline motors in some cases when used in that motor.
It goes hand and hand with the EPA and its other smart ideas which include removal of sulphur in deisel fuel which has only driven up the cost of transporting goods but commerical vechiles and maintence upkeep.
EPA with all it's smarts and restrictions has caused extreme due harm to the general public over the years in making demands from various companies and groups without throughly taking care of the issues these restrictions have caused.
Fuel actually cost more today due to higher production cost to make the Ethanol and placing it in the fuel as a additive, which in return decreases the fuel milage, and increases both repair and replacement cost to the consumer.
The only ones who really see benefits are the farmers who are given the incentives to grow the corn for fuel versus supplying it for food and the suppliers who produce the Ethanol and given thier own financial incentives to produce this ill thought of additive.
For Florida Teen, Sweetest of Senior Moments {Fanhouse Main}
Jan 18th 2010 3:36AM I remember hearing about Bree's accident on the local news here in Orlando the day it happened. It was both sad and shocking about something so innocent as a car wash fund raiser causing some much heart break. But as time has gone on, as it does reading and hearing about what she has done and continues to do should be a inspiration to us all. I suspect she will be a trail blazer lighting up the lives of many as she becomes not just the teenager she is now but the woman she will eventually become.
I wish her the very best and that all her future goals become the realaties she so much deseverves.
She has shown us the true fighting spirit we all should be looking for.
May God bless her today and always
