Feb 17th 2011 11:25PM Both my parents worked for TastyKake in Philly. I remember eating those peanut butter "Tandy Takes" as they were called back then. Yes, I'd try it, even though I'm basically a vegetarian, but certainly not as a steady diet. I'd like to help Tasty Kake stay in the City of Brotherly Love and not go into bankruptsy. The chocolate Kandy Kakes are even better, but not with meat, with a glass of milk!!!!

Dec 15th 2010 11:37PM Just oil up your liner with mineral oil, the water beads up on it and you don't get scum. Just make sure you wash up the floor of the shower in case any oil gets on it, you don't want an accident. I also spray bleach in the shower every so often, but not on the liner itself. Hower, I do buy those Dollar tree $1.00 liners too--who needs expensive ones? So far the water has been beading up on them and there are no signs of scum yet. I've just tried this oil technique so I don't know how long it will last. I guess if you see signs of scum you can clean off the first signs of scum and just re-oil, but replacing a dollar liner isn't a big problem, just oil the new one as soon as you put it in. My oiled liner seems to be holding up well so far.

Jan 9th 2010 8:50PM I'm from Philly, but the Eagles generated bad karma when they picked up Michael Vick. Looks like they'll go down to defeat, another Philly team will hit the dust. Well at least the Phillies were last year's champions and Smarty Jones won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. That's not shabby at all, but in the distant past, unfortunately.
