Barry Manilow Recording Best 'Make-out Album of All Time' {Spinner}

Nov 3rd 2009 11:42PM The original song was called "Brandy" - written by Scott English and it was much faster (almost like bubblegum rock) but since the group Looking Glass already had a song called "Brandy you're a fine girl" - the song title was changed to Mandy.

Will 'Balloon Boy' Be Scarred For Life? {ParentDish}

Oct 23rd 2009 10:22AM I suspect the kid will change his name as soon as he is legally able ... how many "Falcons" do you know?

The parents are loons and need to have the kids taken away. The have raised those children with absolutely NO manners (just who the he** is Wolf, anyway?). Some people just shouldn't procreate.

International Olympic Committee Promises to Investigate Chinese Gymnast's Age {Fanhouse Olympics Blog}

Aug 21st 2008 9:59PM If the US Team had tweaked the ages of our team, you can bet it would be on the front pages of every newspaper. Our team's birthdates are public record, and it would be very difficult to change one's age by the time they are competing at the Olympic level.

China is another matter altogether, and the issue is that if He is only 14, most of those girls are not fully grown (which is why they can fly thru the air with more ease than a 16 year old). The rules of the Olympics is that you must be 16 years of age to compete. If He was only 14, even if the worlds best gymnast, she did it by breaking the rules, and should forfeit her gold medal. She can still compete in the 2012 olympics, and if she wins gold then, she will have done it legally.

The worst U.S. cities for gridlock {Gadling}

Oct 27th 2007 8:23AM I can't believe Washington DC area didn't make the list. A misty rain will make what should be a 20 minute commute on the beltway 3-4 hours.

Our metro costs are going up again. Parking is anticipated to be $5 a day, and the fare (from where I live) will be almost $9 round trip. So its cheaper to drive into DC and park in one of the early bird lots or use the meters. More people will be on the roads again. Federal employees get $105 subsidized (depending on where you live on the metro route), and that will now only cover about 5 work days. The 'burbs are exploding with new houses, so that makes the commute going to the outlying areas even longer.

Traffic in DC is awful, with no relief in sight.

Breakfast all day: why a health nut might buy McDonald's {BloggingStocks}

Sep 24th 2006 9:01AM >>20. stop eating that crap and then maybe youll spell the word sailing correctly instead of saling.

The author meant out going to garage sales, not sailing the ocean blue. And, since you're the typo police (which, truly is my job ... to rid the world of typos) it's you'll (as a contraction for you will).

As a former transplant to CA (now back on the East Coast) Jack in the box was my choice for breakfast - any time of the day! We have nothing here in VA that has breakfast 24 hours unless you go to a sit-down restaurant.

Good marketing move on McDonald's part.
