Oscar Boycott Story 'Not True,' Says Tom Cruise's Spokesperson {PopEater}
Jan 10th 2011 4:10PM so they think so much of themselves that this is news and has to be discussed beforehand? can't katie holmes laugh at herself. I am sure anne hathaway thought it would go over as a goofy impersonation, which it is, and not taken seriously. katie, obviously you were not a good friend to anne if you can't get over this! and i was a fan of tom cruise until i took my then-young kids to a G-rated movie and the previews for independance day were shown with a young child screaming and the world blowing up behind her. they were very clearly pg-13 previews and were totally inappropriate. he had enough clout then to make sure something like that didn't happen. I think he should be ashamed of what he stands for and how he behaves...this is another good example of his ego.
SkyMall Monday: Body Back Buddy {Gadling}
Aug 31st 2010 11:00AM I have something similar to this, green and with only one hook, that I bought from my physical therapist a couple of years ago to get the knots out of my shoulder blades and low back. I think it's a FANTASTIC invention. It released my muscles SO easily and my husband and kids no longer had to stick their thumbs in my shoulder blades or walk on my back! They were getting tired of my requests. I used it several times a day at first, then several times a week, and now not at all. Between doing stretches and walking several times a week, I keep my sciatic and low back pain (and all the knots that go with it) minimal or non-existent, and I have not had to go back to PT (and saved costs). I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who has to have regular massages or PT for those tight bumps and knots throughout shoulders and back!
Book Review: Ed Ugel's "I'm With Fatty" {That's Fit}
Aug 23rd 2010 10:01PM My husband and I did a diet that cut out all carbs and yeast as his doctor said that he had a yeast overgrowth causing his digestive issues. We found books on anti-Candida, and his heavy snoring and occaisional apnea disappeared and is still gone a year later. Fungal overgrowth can occur anywhere in the body, and the sinuses are warm and moist and oerfect for their growth. Fungus feeds on sugars and yeasts. If you have snoring or apnea issues, you need to check out an anti-yeast diet. It'll wean you of all sugars, and the result is that EVERYthing taste great, including all veggies, as you won't need all the sugars and munchies anymore.
Fat vs. Obese: Which Is Worse? {That's Fit}
Aug 11th 2010 7:04PM Would it be hurtful if someone told you that carrying around a 30 - 40 pound suitcase everyday and everynight while you were working, doing housework, fixing dinner, shopping, etc, was bad for your muscles and posture? Or how about if someone said "Maybe you should put that down, you'd feel a lot better, and you wouldn't have to breath so hard, and your knees wouldn't hurt so much"? OK, so now look at that extra 30 - 40 pounds and think of how people are trying to help you, instead of thinking negatively and letting your life be controlled by a couple of stupid words.
Packing Light and Cheap -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}
Jan 8th 2010 11:41AM OK. So one thing that isn't mentioned here is the carry-on liquid requirements. For a family of four, you can put all your cleansers and shampoos in one large suitcase, along with bulky stuff, and check the large bag for a fee, and carry on the rest. This can be a savings and therefore a necessity. And to Susan, the claim check process at the plane is standard for Horizon planes, as the planes are smaller and their overheads are smaller, but Alaska Airs are larger, so they dont do that, I don't know about other carriers. The whole weight issue has nothing to do with it...the bags are going on the same plane as you anyway. And, yes, flying has become a standard form of travel, so things have had to change. And I think anybody complaining about how others are being helped to travel need to think about the times they've needed help from complete strangers and then think about their negative comments before voicing them.
