Jul 26th 2012 11:36AM With about 5000 hours on DC3s I never saw one with a curved fuselage like the one in the last picture - must be and optical illusion.
I flew them in the RAF 1945, RCAF, Canadian Dept. of Transport, New Zealand Dept. of Civil Aviation, East African Airways, Tropicair in Barbadoes, and two or three companies in Canada operation around Hudson's Bay and the Arctic.

Aug 31st 2010 9:31PM Enid Blyton was not the inventor of the 'Famous Five'. The original were in the 'Magnet', Greyfriars schoolboys - Harry Wharton, Bob Cherry, Johnny Bull, Frank Nugent and Harry Jamset Ram Singh the Nabob of Bhanipur.
When I was at school in the thirties we pronounced her name 'Blitton'.
