1). It is prudent for one to begin to rethink the entire issue not only because of the flue season, but also during normal seasons. Lets look the person who has the comon cold, and he goes to take Holy Communion and drinks from the cup, the same cup taht will be shared with others. I have issues with that.
2). Now comes the present health concerns around the world. Will we say taht we must put away preventative safety concerns because we believe that God will take care? I am reminded of taht story where a person home was on fire and he prayed to God for help. The fire people came, the police, the medical people and all friends came to his home and begged him to come outside, but he kept praying to God for Devine intervention. He never was saved and when he got to heaven he asked God why God had not answered his prayers. God said but I sent all those people to you, and you never listened to them. In other words, we must do for ourselves what only we can do, and then when we cannot go no more, we let Go and Let God. It is possible for us to aoid drinking from the same cup and taking the bread without it being touched by the priest etc. There are always ways and means to avoid contamination. Lets say, is the bread and wine more important or is it the Blessing that we receive from God through prayers that is important. Do we say to ourselves, well, although I prayed to God today, unless I have the Bread and Wine I am not worthy of the Love of God?
Just some thoughts.

Oct 9th 2009 2:19AM Greetings: Who are to blame. The mother says the "adults". Lets look at what happens when our kids are disciplined by the school authorities. The parents come to the schools and want to take the school board and city to court because their child was treated unfaily. When the schools sets dress codes and other rules, the parents encourages their kids to defy the rulesw and woe unto the school who holds firm, the parents take them to court. Who is suppose to take care of the kids..the parents. If the parejnts are afraid of their own kids, then what do you expect the neighbor to do about it. Parents take your rightful role and if you are afraid of your kids, take them to court. If the kid and devorce their parents, surely the parents can devorce their kids. Then should the kid get into trouble, leave them to face their own music. That is if youm have tried your best. Many parents allow their kids to do what they please,,flaunt the rules..so what do you expect. Now the same behaviour comes full circle to their own back yards..but then its too late. So mother of the victim, we are very sorry for your loss. Talk about taking our kids back..dealing with the mess we have created by allowing our kids to control us instead of allowing them to be disciplined for not following rules of their schools which prepares them for society rules and laws. Keeping them in the home and be the parent and friend, but parent first!!!
I bet that many parent would challenge the person who told their child to "..get your behind home"!!!

I have no idea where poeple feel that just because its the internet that one cannot be held responsible for what they say. There are still laws out there to protect people from false accusation that damages one character/reputation. The internet is not a hiding place for anyone and should not be. I want to bet that those who are expressing objection to this court case from Canada, would be the same ones who would demand the courts action if their child was to become victim of an internet sex offender. They would be the first to press for reform and get the court order to help locate the offender. So you see, there are exceptions to each case. Shouting "Fire" in the cinema is not protected, nor is spreading false terroristic threats and attacks on the internet protected. Civil and Crimianl Laws operate differently, but require evidence fromn the various sources, and if evidence is available, hen it should be obtain under proper court order inthe furtherance of the administration of justice.

Should this be of concern to organizations such as the ACLU? Ofcourse not. They never seem to be able to say anything until the person who lit the cigarette complains that their civil rights has been violated.
When the authorities want to ban and conduct their searches suddenly the headgear cannot be searched because of religious reasons or this and that cannot be touched because its discreminatory. All the reasons given to prevent searches, but yet when something like this happens, the ACLU is silent!!!

Thanks Scrapiron. Your comments match mine. They even go to the extent of voiceing their instructions as to how and where to place and when to place a dirty bomb for the most effect in new york city for the best effect. These experts should keep their mouths closed on certain issues to proetct this great nation and its people. But no, they continue to let out as to how they went about capturing these terrorists. Keep it up.
