Jan 1st 2010 12:36PM MILFORD PA is a lovely town situated next to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. The park protects 40 miles of the cleanest river east of the Mississippi. There are waterfalls, bike and hiking trails, great swimming and canoeing . The town itself is charming, with lovely inns, restaurants. There is a Winter Festival in late January with a 100 by 80 foot ice skating rink in the main square and ice sculptures located throughout the town. There is a Music Festival in June and The Black Bear Film Festival at the soon to be restored Milford theater each October.

Milford is a great place to go for a short vacation, as it is located near both New York City and Philadelphia. It is becoming a favorite tourist destination...just as is was in the early years of the 20th century.
