Obama Calls Arizona Immigration Bill 'Misguided,' Presses Congress for Reform {Politics Daily}
Apr 23rd 2010 8:25PM The influx of illegal immigrants has severe impact in every sector of the country, not just Arizona. The citizen is without protection. Arizona appears to want to change that. Here in the North-east citizenship is a bar to employment. We had a few crackdowns but punished the wrong people- we punished the workers. When we were a country of AMERICANS you were sponsored for five years and allowed to become a citizen. If the employer of the illegal was made to payback any expenses paid for the illegal and required to act as sponser while paying the legal pay rate for work performed and required to keep the illegal employed for the full five year term ---how would that work. Hire an illegal and you now have a five year obligation to support and pay fair wages to the illegal, and they have a legal right to stay and become citizens. American, not Afro-american, not Spanish-american, not Italian-american, not Mexican-american. Ask your parents if they would like to go stay where their ancestors came from.My parents came from Portugal, my wife's came from Germany and Poland. This,for all its problems is so much better than anyplace else people pay to be smuggled in. The sponsor pays the bills for five years.--If caught the employer should pay the bill for five years from date of hire.
CBS' Jim Nantz Chastises Tiger for Behavior at Augusta {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Apr 14th 2010 2:16PM It is amazing that "tiger" woods should display any of the competative spirit that is missing in the newscaster who could not find any criticism of his playing the game of golf; but is an expert on the use of language. Perhaps he should be reporting on the use of language in the school cafeteria.

Dec 4th 2009 7:53AM I am very confused by the reports. First I hear that the accident happened on private property in a gated community where he lived. Then I hear that he was fined and points put on his license. If when you back out of your garage and do damage to either the vehicle or the structure is your license in jeapordy? Chase bank can steal vehicles, cross state lines with the stolen vehicle and receive immunity from prosecution-not newsworthy. If you direct deposit to a financial institution they have the right to use the money any way they wish WITHOUT ANY LEGAL PROCESS without any fear of prosecution-not newsworthy, but a 10 year old refusing to recite the pledge of allegiance is international news.
CIT files bankruptcy, $2.3 billion in taxpayer funds likely lost {Daily Finance}
Nov 2nd 2009 9:08AM i told you so -- wHEN THE BAILOUT STARTED i SAID BUY PREFERRED STOCK SO WE WOULD SHARE AS THE COMPANY RECOVERED AND WOULD HAVE SOME SAY IN MANAGEMENT PERKS. wE ACTUALLY DID THAT TOWARD THE END OF THE BAILOUT. tHEN THEY GOT THE GOVERNMENT TO EXCHANGE THE PREFERRED STOCK TO COMMON STOCK SO WE COULDnot INTERFERE WITH MANAGEMENT PERKS. WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT AFTER WE HAD COMPLIED AND THEY SHOWED RECORD PROFITS,GOT THEIR BONUSES AND LIMITED OUR POSSIBLE PAYBOOK DID YOU THINK THEY WOULD NOT REPEAT THE SUCCESSFUL MOVE AGAIN?????
Plaxico Burress Should Be a Free Man {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}
Aug 26th 2009 11:21PM The constitution says the government may not infring upon the right to bear arms. It does not say you may hide the fact you are carrying one I think the defense that he is black and his peers are getting caught using them is a novel defense. He only injured himself?? He admits he had no control of the weapon and the shot was an accidental discharge. Why wasn't the chamber empty? Stupidity in the basics of gun safety is as relevant as allowing a ten year old to drive the car because he can reach the peddles. I notice that the mandatory jail time should not apply because he was too stupid to know what mandatory meant. The "rap" star has to serve his mandatory sentence but not the "football star"? Along with the fame is the obligation of role model and what message was he trying to give to those who could see his goals in life and what he respects

Stemming rise in home foreclosures -- big factor in ending financial crisis {BloggingStocks}
Nov 3rd 2008 7:57AM As usual reward the crooks and hope they care enough to correct the defect. Most of the small business I am acquainted with require a cushion of 90 days cash flow to meet payroll and operating costs. When the FINANCIAL INSTITUTION decides to reduce without warning the (earned) credit limit it results in immediate, severe hardships and when unexplained, loss of credit from other sources. The loss of cash flow cushion leads to job losses which leads to foreclosures due to lack of income. The SOLUTION is to restore the cash flow cushion. Paying the bonuses and making it harder to obtain credit is not the answer.
Wall Streeters expect bigger bonuses this year -- they gotta be kidding {BloggingStocks}
Oct 29th 2008 12:13AM SURPRISE, THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION does not have to forgo their bonuses because they have removed the bad debts they had, Acquired rival companies thereby removing competition, and collected rates of 20-30 percent on money they borrowed at 2% and they were able to sell their stock before the public was aware. When the Government found that their reserves were depleted the Government raised the limit it would pay from $150,000 to $250,000 freeing up $100,000 of reserves for use for the retreat and more bonuses.
Alaska's Largest Newspaper Endorses Obama {Politics Daily}
Oct 27th 2008 8:06AM Like rats leaving a sinking ship As it looks like a numbers game- we got you to register so vote the party ticket. Neither candidate has proposed a solution to the crisis. Neither candidate appears willing to make the decision necessary to resolve the credit problem or the health problem. If we can last through the next four months without heat or food or transportation Those with money will make more money and get some terrific bargins and the rest of us will watch the crooks get rewarded. Each day the sellout becomes more obvious. You early voters can write SUCKER on your forhead. I intend to vote against any incumbent on the ballot. None of them is concerned with my welfare so anybody could represent me as well as the incumbent has.
Deanna Favre Blogs, Wants You to Know Brett Does Not 'Hold a Vendetta' Against Packers {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Oct 27th 2008 3:11AM Unfortunately I have only media memory. Didn't Favre retire. Why would he put the team through the agony of learning a different style of QB and then expect the QB to be sidelined if Favre changed his mind and decided he didn't want to retire. Doesn't he realize that the entire organization from the scouts to his teammates are affected by his indecision. I am glad he is playing, I too wish it was for the Packers but the team doesn't need another last(?) season followed by retirement. I think he has more integrity than to penalize his former teammates by divulging their playbook.
