Apr 19th 2010 4:15AM That is Misssissippi people, not the entire South. The hate toward a specific region is just as bad as homphobia. Miss. is know for it's regressive policies. There is just AS much racism in California or PA as there is in NC or GA. I stay away from Mss., but I am from the South, which includes places such as South Beach, Key West, New Orleans, Houston, Atlanta which are all gay meccas. Actually Atlanta has one of the largest gay populations in the US. But of course, it is hard to fight decades of Northern prejudiced attitudes.

First her remark "that she is finally proud to be an American". second was her thesis that I read that was full of racist diatribe. She has been painted to resemble someone noble, but she is no better than any angry racist. She is not my favorite by all means. she is nothing more than a photo-op and an airbrush. by the way, her fashion stinks as well. Her inaugural gown looked like a bedspread.
