Jul 16th 2011 9:58PM Here is a better idea for tourists...stay home! First off, riding a bike in DC is exceedingly dangerous. Beyond that, your home towns or nearby towns need your disposable vacation dollars far more than DC! Part of the reason nothing gets done in this country with regard to big issues is that people in DC are far too comfortable and don't feel any of the economic downturn affecting the rest of the U.S. The only housing market that hasn't imploded. Unemployment below 5%. Two of the richest counties in the entire U.S. Median income in the top 3% of the entire country! Need I say more!?

Of course, that means they are Homophobic. Couldn't possibly mean that they find the creator and his collection of militant gay staff immature, unprofessional and offensive for reasons unrelated to their sexual identity...no, gays are perfect-they could never create an obnoxious and trivial show, it is just us homophobic heterosexuals who just can't appreciate how gays make the world go 'round!

Feb 14th 2011 9:09PM Another glaring exhibition of why baseball is no longer America's favorite sport. Ten year contract for $30million/year !? The fact that it does not strike everyone as being absurd to the point of not even being a topic of discussion shows just how silly things have become in this sport. Baseball players are so far removed from the average guy (not just by how much they earn but by their sense of entitlement to long-term guaranteed contracts).

Feb 7th 2011 8:12PM Gotta like the way Rodgers played down the stretch and in the Superbowl. I also like what he had to say about paying back the organization for their faith in him. There is a lot to like about the guy. That said, the sudden escalation of him to superstar status is way too premature! I think he will be an all time great but a string of very good games does not put him on level with Montana, Bradshaw, Brady, Manning or even Favre. He may get there, but c'mon folks, Dan Fouts had great seasons and was a really good quarterback, but is not an all time great. Right now, Aaron Rodgers is in the Dan Fouts level. Another two seasons playing like he did last season and this one and he will move up.

Roethlisberger is a 28 year old man buying drinks for underage co-eds. This comes on the heels of a rape allegation and a history of impulsive and reckless behavior. Why don't you Steeler fans switch to defending OJ Simpsoan and Charles Manson after the superbowl.
