It is a great idea for the president to espouse continued education -- study hard, do your homework, stay in school, etc. Where they went wrong was to try to turn this into an Obama/student partnership event. I do want my grandchildren to stay in school, study hard, etc. However, I do not want them doing it for Obama, or with Obama, or because of Obama. I want them to do it for the better life they will enjoy with an good education.
