Aug 7th 2010 6:13AM The last 3 are good.. priced well for something that will be in a dorm room.. accidents happen so I wouldn't think you would want to spend 500 on a college kids stereo.. plus thefts can be an issue. Good article here with advice about what you need for a college dorm and what you can leave at home:
http://www.celebrationideasonline.com. Also an article there for what parents need to do before they send the kids to campus.. worth a read.
Aug 1st 2010 2:17PM If you have college kids.. get them to start checking their fall class syllabus now to see what textbooks they need.. the new legislation is requiring the schools to post this information earlier so that kids can shop for best prices on their books.. there are lots of options out there beside buying new.. here's an informative article that gives lots of suggestions including the easiest one ever.. start early and you can check the book out of the campus library for free: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/saving-money-on-college-textbooks.html August is the best time to get their books!
Jul 28th 2010 2:43PM great article.. here is more good advice from an experienced mom's point of view.. she's moved 4 onto college and has some more good pointers here: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com Her list has some things not on here but still a must to have. I am leaving for college next month and can't wait!
Jul 20th 2010 5:56PM I travel alot for business and have put return address labels on my phone charger, computer power cord and ipod charger.. more than once I have left one of them behind and the hotel calls me before I even get home to advise they will put in the mail.. sign of a good hotel and smart way to keep your chargers from getting thrown out. We do summer vacations in Florida but steer clear of the big resort towns.. spend alot of time on the west coast which is an easy drive to Orlando for a fun day trip but more relaxing than spending a week there.. Here's how our family spends our time together: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/cheap-Florida-vacation.html so much more fun and a lot cheaper!

Jul 6th 2010 3:40PM Love this show.. so fun and funny to watch.. our family does lots of throw back stuff at parties that probably seems old fashioned these days.. we play holiday bingo, do a lot of at home parties for the little ones that are simple and not expensive. The water park backyard bday and the 4th of July skipole game are great.
