Jan 19th 2009 8:24PM I like Photoscribe's consolidation as well.
Saab and Saturn together for the bourgeousie - you could put the Saab badge on the compact hatchback Saturn, give it a turbo and charge $4000 more for it and everyone would be happy. An answer to the Volvo hatchback.
Then make the Sky roadster a Saab as well. Call it the Saab Valkyrie!
Then take all the closed Saturn dealerships and convert them into homeless shelters for the unwashed masses who can't afford cars. The cheese and wine crowd will love that!
Jan 19th 2009 7:42PM To the Fiat haters out there, keep in mind that it's a very different car company than it was 20 years ago, they make quality products now, check out the 500, the Panda, the Alfa models.
And seriously could Fiat management really do a worse job of selling iron than the current people? What are sales down, 50% this year?
Jan 19th 2009 7:38PM Yeah, 500 vs 300, funny. I guess they could rename it the 3000?
Seriously, though, this Fiat Chrysler idea is nutty enough to actually work. Fiat can use the $3 billion that Rick Wagoner gave them as a going away present to get the party started.
Jan 2nd 2009 10:57PM Yeah, you can probably somehow get a lawn mower to go 100 mph on Jack Daniels, too, but no one's asking for that to happen.
If they made a Mustang hybrid that was fast and got 30 mpg, that would be exciting.
Dec 13th 2008 3:12PM Yet another reason not to buy a car for another 2 years. Once they have these things out on the road everything for sale now is gonna look like a dinosaur.
Nov 28th 2008 9:20PM That guy's creepy, pick me hot eco chick! We'll ride off silently into the sunset together on our electric steeds!
Nov 8th 2008 9:40AM I don't think it's very reasonable. Why can't they sell the older models at a discount, and continue producing the new hybrid models which will undoubtedly sell at a higher price and help the company's image? I don't get it.
Nov 8th 2008 9:36AM Yeah this article is absolutely right. This disaster for the Big 2.5 was a loong time coming. It might not get better, either. I would imagine car companies of the future will be much smaller, producing electric and or hybrid vehicles with a lot of the components outsourced to smaller contracting companies.
Nov 4th 2008 12:30AM iTunes 8 is very buggy on my Vista laptop, I've just downloaded the Zune software because I'm sick of trying to use the slow and stuttering itunes - it would take forever just to add podcasts and songs to the ipod - I'll probably buy one of the new small 8 gb Zunes soon to replace my old ipod. Apple you've lost a good iTunes customer with that crap Windows version.
Nov 1st 2008 6:22PM Wow I had not seen a picture of that Ford Fusion hybrid, looks great - and I'm pretty picky!
