Burping and slurping: All the stuff you can do in China that you can't do back home {Gadling}

Nov 21st 2009 7:49AM I've never been to China. The only place, I've been to was Ireland and I didn't pay much attention to their eating habits. I was kind of grossed out by the sheer lack of flavor. The food was so bland... I was eating air, most of the time... it felt.

I'm not quite sure the surprise is about. I live in California and it's not much different from what you are describing... or maybe I'm just open-minded and things don't bother me.

Anyways, Americans and Asians are worlds apart.

I do squirm at ear cleaning for some reason... I've seen and old White guy do it. hmmmm... oh well. I try not to stare at others when I'm dining in or during consumption.
