Gadling reviews the new Carnival Dream cruise ship {Gadling}

Nov 19th 2009 11:47AM WOW – I can't believe what a saw in your first picture... another swinging balcony door! After the deluge of complaints on the “Spirit-class” ships, Carnival told us they would never build another ship with these disasters – slam, slam... slam-slam, slam over and over again all night as the heavy door closers bang the doors closed while fighting the inevitable ocean winds. Sliding doors are used on all quality ships to avoid these problems – Carnival knows this... what a shame for the Carnival Dream! Imagine our Alaska Carnival cruise where passengers venture out to see the incredible sights from their balconies all night long – with banging doors hitting chairs while opening and then shaking the ship from stem to stern when slaming closed :(
