Gay Teen Plans to Sue Schools if They Don't Prevent Bullying {Just So You Know}

Jan 12th 2011 3:23AM Sure the world is a tough place, but it is what it is. I am not for any sort of bullying, but it happens. Either someone doesn't like you eyes, ears, voice, clothes, etc. Schools can try to regulate what people do, but nothing is 100%. Does he believe he will never get picked on again, he can keep dreaming. And who says everything he is saying is the gospel truth either. Where are your witnesses. He said he has got death threats, where I from that is taken very seriously by the schools. Besides the schools why isn't he showing this to police there is a law for this. It is a court matter at that point. So go about things in the right way, if you can prove it, if not why do you think that the school is suppose to act on your word only.

Syfy Cancels 'Stargate Universe' {AOL TV}

Dec 17th 2010 6:29AM I use to watch the shows on SyFy for years. It was the best station on television for a very long time. Now I barely turn to their channel except for a few shows. I liked SGU, Caprica, Sanctuary, and Haven. Now I doubt that I will ever turn there. They just keep ending things with no real closure (like ABC and Fox were notorious for) and put on garbage like ghost hunters and wrestling. Not every show can be a super hit but I do know that more people watched the shows they've cancelled rather than this crap they are putting on now. Next I guess we'll see their version of Kate plus 8 and DWTS.

Is Levi Johnston Kevin Federline 2.0? {PopEater}

Aug 14th 2010 4:39PM Everyone has something negative to say about these guys. I am not a fan of either, but if they don't work their dogs and dead beats and it they do it must be in a profession that some smuck with a nowhere job and a lot of hot air seems to deem fit. Seems to me the real name of the game is to sell what you can while you can and make what you can. These are young men being judged by people that have truly made nothing out of their lives and are pissed that someone younger or less educated has a chance to go further and make more than they could ever hope too. Get a grip and stop tossing around your ideas (like they are worth anything)of how other should live, be, earn, etc. It would be a different story if was you or your kid with chance to make something out of a hard existence.

A smoking ban... in Syria!? {Gadling}

Apr 26th 2010 12:02AM You sound stupid to me with what you wrote, and I am a non smoker. Everyone wants to gripe about cigarettes, but there are a lot more things out there doing your precious life harm. The fact is there is air pollution from many sources (like power plants, cars, gasoline, insecticides, grills, etc.) but I don't see you or anyone else willing to find a cheap clean way to have your damn air conditioning, tv, stereo, fireplace, hot tub, etc) I take offense that you waste your time causing a stink over a cigarette while most of the water in this country is contaminated with hormones, steroids, and other meds that aren't filtered out in current water filtration. The sun is known to cancer for more than 50 years now but I don't see you out there trying ban that. Food is contaminated with a variety of harmful things but where are the people demanding that it be stopped. Everyone wants to condemn someone else (human nature, I guess) but no one wants to stand up and take responsibility for their part in this mess.

Opinion: Bacon Should Have No Bearing on Becoming a Foster Parent {ParentDish}

Apr 23rd 2010 12:42AM I find myself siding with government in this instance. I feel that a child being placed in foster care is there on a temporary basis only and that it is not up to the foster parent/parents to push their beliefs or practices upon a child that is not theirs and most likely never will be. It is common practice to try to place children with those that can give them some grasp of their heritage (be they black, white, christian, Muslim, etc.). If this was a person who truly cared about children, she (and any others) like her would put their personal feelings and beliefs aside and do what it takes to care properly for these children without trying to change them.

Hot or Not: Heels for Little Girls {Shopping Articles Blog}

Mar 28th 2010 11:09AM Just had to jump in and state that I feel heels on children is unacceptable. However I also want to point out that the picture they show above has Katie in flats for walking while the child is in heels. So I don't believe this was a special occasion as some of you are saying. Looks like everyday shopping, chores, etc. to me.

The Coming Foreclosure Flood {Housingwatch}

Feb 18th 2010 12:53PM Not to be the bearer of bad news, but a farm is not the best investment right now. Interest rates are good, selling price good, but take a very close look at just exactly you are getting into. The west has been suffering with drought for the past decade and having to pay to truck water to their animals, crops are failing because of climate change and farmers are even committing suicide because things are so tough. I don't want to say that it is not a good dream but do make sure you don't end up going from bad to worse. It is my sincerest wish that you can make your dream happen. Good Luck!!!

Tomorrow night's Christmas tree lighting on NBC could be more interesting than usual {AOL TV}

Dec 2nd 2009 4:12PM Walk out if that is what you want to do. But I agree with others who say don't ruin it for everyone else. Sure won't get the public on your side if you ruin things for someone's child. The country is in bad shape now both financially and emotionally with all those who have been ousted from their homes and jobs; don't add to it already depressing season for many. There are those who see you whine over a contract while others have no jobs at all and feel no great sympathy for you.

Meet 73-Year-Old John Scott -- L.A.'s Oldest Graffiti Artist {Asylum}

Nov 16th 2009 5:51PM Here we go again. Who in their right mind is going to think that this man has done permanent damage to a damn bus terminal, wall, etc. It's not like the paint that won't easily come off. Why not just rip the sticker off when you see it, if it really offends you that much, and problem solved. Must admit though the minute that they come up with BS of thousands of dollars worth of damage from his stunt, instant felony. Get a grip and do something about real crime instead of just stroking yourself and trying to get money. Law Enforcement in the country has become a joke.
