Jul 12th 2011 7:50PM OBX is completely OVER RATED! Rented a beach house with our family and it was the worst week I've ever spent at the ocean. The water was freezing in late July. The sand was O.K. I love seafood, and I couldn't find a decent place for seafood in the whole area. I've been to a million beaches I like more. Yes you can find seclusion down there but overall it's overblown. Not many exciting things to do either. Hang gliding seemed like it would be fun until you learn some guys with ropes hold onto you so your never more than a couple feet off the ground. I'm not sure what everybody else see's in this place but you can have it! N.C. has so many better beaches, and S.C. has even more. I'd say OBX is on the scale of South Beach as far as hearing such great things and then getting there and realizing it's average at best.

Then I have to watch that pompous ass CEO of United tell us on the pre-flight video how we can look forward to United's level of service. I don't think I want it! They are already cutting back flights to Cleveland. Another reason why Cleveland is going down fast!

I'm tired of hearing cops shot a kid because they are racist and then come to find out the kid had a juvinile and adult record a mile long. Yes there is racism but I think folks would have a lot less problems if they didn't see a victims family claiming race and saying how good of a kid he was and then we hear he had a criminal record a mile long. O.J. was guilty...that's not racist! Please quit covering up for bad people of your race and those of us who aren't black will believe you more when you claim racism. Not all cops are good people, but I feel sorry for the scumbags they have to deal with every day. They have to make split second decisions that impact if they will get to go home at night alive!

Yes he's a great player and fun to watch, however he's beyond and ego maniac and the beast has been fed since grade school allowing him to bend and break every rule. His mother who was living in government supported housing somehow bought the kid a humvee in high school. Can you say booster? The Ohio Athletic commission never did anything about it. The Cavs built him a practice facility closer to his home. It goes on and on. Then when he decides to leave he pulls this TV special crap to announce. This after quitting in the playoffs against the Celtics. He's showing his true colors. Lebron put the "I" in team. He never won a championship in high school and won't win one in the NBA. How do you become a king without winning anything???

May 21st 2010 2:11PM This new generation of parents are idiots! They don't know how to discipline. They start their kids in everything at too young of an age. You've got to compete you know! Kids aren't allowed to play or pretend anymore! Yet when most of us grew up we had recess, we didn't start organized sports until 3rd or 4th grade and we didn't have all these stupid tests. We also got to play outside ALL day without parental supervision. And there have always been the same percentage of sickos out in the world. Guess what? Most of us survived and prospered! We even road our bikes without helmets! The biggest differenence when we were kids is that everybody in the neighborhood knew each other and policed the childrens activity. Now everybody huddles in their McMansions and doesn't get to know their neighbors. They are frightened of humanity and don't believe in unscheduled activity. God forbid you yell at somebody else's kid because they are acting like a brat! I'm raising my child differently and encouraging him not to hang out with kids with neurotic parents. If I could turn back the clock and be a parent in a generation when parents still had common sense, I'd do it in a minute. And for all you nosy idiots who want to go call childrens services if I spank my kid and let him play in the yard alone... GO POUND SALT! Stay locked up inside scheduling play dates and leave me alone. Not everyone has to subscribe to the new norm. Lenore thank you for trying to restore common sense!

Most N.F.L. players aren't qualified to work at Taco Bell if they lost their day job. I'm sick of watching folks accept criminal behavior from an athlete because he plays for their team. Just like they accept criminal behavior from the politician who belongs to their political party. If we keep supporting poor quality people we will continue the downward spiral this country is on.
