10 things I hate about staying at a hotel {Gadling}
Dec 5th 2008 12:03AM The sheets are also tucked in for other reasons such as health department regulations. For example, the top sheet should be at least 12 in. from top of bed to the edge of the flat sheet. As someone else mentioned it is also done to be appealing and free of wrinkles,ect. Most times if its not done right people assume we havent changed their linens for that day.
Fisher Price walkie talkie picks up conversation about strip clubs {ParentDish}
Aug 8th 2008 6:06PM While I wouldnt want my child hearing this either one should KNOW that a walkie talkie can pick up other's conversations. Sad an item could be recalled just because one parent lacked common sense or knowledge
Staying in a hotel? Bring your own drinking glasses {Gadling}
Dec 16th 2007 12:21AM I work as a housekeeper in a hotel chain (none mentioned here) and I can tell you this would never fly in the hotel I work for. We use plastic one time use glasses in the bathroom that are all thrown and replaced after each stay, we dont use ice buckets since every room has their own sink, fridge, ice maker and dishwasher. We provide your dishes and all dishes are ran through a steralizing cycle in the dishwasher after each use of the room . All bedspreads and blankets are washed frequently on rotation. All towels are taken from your room even if we suspect they were not used and supply new ones just in case. We follow health codes very closely and hotels like this give everyone a bad name
