Nov 1st 2009 10:13AM It was good to hear that Sam Cooke topped Rod's list. Sam is also my favorite all-time male vocalist, edging out Nat Cole(By the way, Otis Redding and David Ruffin, with the Temps, aren't bad either). By the way, Sam's gospel redentions might even be greater than his Rhythm and Blues songs. For female vocalists, I'll tdake Dinah Washington, barely edging out Billie Holiday.
