Dog Snatched by Owl Survives Harrowing Flight {Pawnation OLD}
Jan 16th 2010 10:24PM Saw an owl like this in my backyard two days ago. It had a wingspan of about four or five feet. I watched it until it flew off. Was so large it had trouble getting airborne. Have never seen an owl that large before. Needless to say, my sheltie won't be spending any time alone in my fenced backyard. Pet owners be alert. I live in Fargo, North Dakota.

Oct 27th 2009 12:39AM Once flew into Memphis early evening and found out my next flight was delayed by several hours. I was very hungry and the wonderful aroma of southern barbecue was in the air. Went to two separate barbecue restaurants where I was seated, given a menu and ignored until I had no choice but to leave. There were maybe two other customers in each restaurant. On the way out I was smiled at by a black waitress and told "you'all come back and see us." So my suggestion is to avoid Memphis, Tennessee like I do now. There are some very rude people working there giving the term "southern hospitality" a bad name.
