Airline elite status - does it still have any value left? {Gadling}

Oct 21st 2009 10:59PM Josh - Scott is absolutely correct. It happened to me TWICE on an international flight (SFO to Narita).

Showed up at the airport early and asked to pay for it. ~$500 for an upgrade to business. Same thing on the return.

No elite status with the airline.
