'The Beaver' Whodunit: Final Cut Stolen from Mel Gibson's Mailbox {PopEater}

Jan 29th 2011 4:45PM Hmmm "minor crime" -but I thought it was a FEDERAL OFFENSE to mess with someone elses mail.

Is It Time for the 'American Idol' Battle of the Sexes to End? {AOL TV: American Idol}

Mar 7th 2010 10:19AM
If these kids cannot handle what Simon doles out --then they are not ready to face this lifestyle change. In the arts; music, writing, acting, painting, etc.... -you will find fans and critics abound with no empathy or compassion and speak volumes of guttural wrath for your works.

Simon is a prelude in to the real marketing works. Most know this going in and strive to attain their harshest critic's approval (in this case, Simon).

Police Search for Woman Who Trashed Kansas City McDonalds {Slashfood}

Jan 8th 2010 12:10PM With everything going on in the world -she goes beserk over a damn hamburger? A hamburger? Serious? I wonder what is so perfect in her life that doing 3k in damage to an establishment over a friggin burger merits this behavior? Disgusting! Put things in priorities lady ....hamburgers is not life or death!

Wal-Mart jobs: Ever wonder what it's like to work there? {WalletPop}

Dec 24th 2009 10:19AM In case you haven't kept up with current events --MOST stores sell the same items from the same place (China).

Wal-Mart employes 2 MILLION people world wide. Now most of them won't get rich off working at Wal-Mart but they will put food on the table and roof over their head. What are you saying -you really want 2 million more people out of work?

You could take a Leave of Absense when you had a baby, Crystal. Also Wal-Mart is not the only employee that has this stipulation with 'sick time' ...I know MANY companies that set limits and even if the school calls you and wants you to go pick up your child -where my husband works -(not wal-mart) they will dock points (they are also on a point system) and if you point out you are terminated. Many employers have put this in. *shrugs* It sucks when you are a parent.... but Wal-Mart is not the only place that does this. Good luck finding a business that actually doesn't have control over the amount of time you take off work.

Where's Ronald McDonald? Corporate Clown Wanted for Questioning {Slashfood}

Nov 18th 2009 7:13PM First, McDonald's fast food should be a TREAT for children (and adults) not a daily diet. Like everything, done in moderation is fine.

Parents are responsible if they are feeding their children candy or junk food as a daily diet. We do not want our country deciding we can no longer have a treat from time to time because idiots do not have the willpower or parent know-how in eating properly. Obviously, most don't ...but still...

All companies have their mascots and McDonald's has one that children identify with and love.

Ronald McDonald house has done a lot for children -including my neice's twins who lived in the hospital for months and the parents stayed at the Ronald McDonald house.

Ryan O'Neal Fine With Being Left Out of Farrah Fawcett's Will {PopEater}

Nov 18th 2009 2:03PM I read that Ryan O'neal didn't not allow the ex any time to say goodbye to Farrah. This has got to be a nitch in his knickers to find out the ex-boyfriend will receive monies anyway. Tells you that perhaps she would have liked to have said goodbye to her ex. The interview said that the ex does not harbor any hard feelings toward Ryan for not allowing him the opportunity to say goodbye to Farrah. It's just kind of sad that such a lovely lady was not treated as she had treated others -gracefully.

Celebrities and their ...woe is me... lives. Whatamess.

It's all gravy: Cost of Thanksgiving meal sees biggest drop since 2000 {Daily Finance}

Nov 17th 2009 3:36PM Where on earth did these volunteer shoppers shop? Even with clipping coupons and using store brands and shopping at Aldi's (A german store that sells reasonable priced groceries) that's not a realistic price for 10 PEOPLE? Heck, hardly four people? Turkey's run (depending on size) $15.00-$20.00 around here. I make dressing, gravy, pies from scratch and still the meal will cost more than $43.00. I would love to know where the H-E-double hockey sticks they shopped and what exactly they purchased and or how they prepared this meal.

Wal-Mart's sick leave policy risks spreading swine flu {WalletPop}

Nov 13th 2009 7:12AM I'm in my 40's and never missed a day of work (usually working for others when they didn't show up -which allowed me a few hours of overtime -not widely accepted by Wal-Mart -but working as higher tech in the pharmacy they needed the help). I became quite ill -very, much so, at the beginning of the year. I missed work for it ...guess what? Yep, first time in my entire life -I was fired. I am not even joking. Everyone (including my Pharmacy Managers and co-workers and for that matter the store manager) were upset and shocked that a GOOD, Hard working employee could be fired for not KNOWING I WAS TOO ILL and ask for a "Leave of Absence" (LOA) instead. Yeah, like I KNEW and felt like applying for that when I did get sick. I came back and was told bye-bye.

The store manager even called cooperate on my part and pleaded my case to them -still their grand response is: "Policy is Policy but I could be re-hired if the store wanted me back in 90 days and I would have to start at min. pay). I would lose more than half my pay going back to them ....how does that make sense for me to do so. So I am now in a Doctor's Clinic working wo know people do get sick. Cooperate could have checked my file and see that I had never missed a day of work (and even worked beyond my shift many times -probably why they wanted me out -hated paying that extra O.T. but in the pharmacy dept. they were more lax at one time about that issue. Not any more.

Massucci's Take: McDonald's Monopoly winner gets a sweet $1 million {Daily Finance}

Nov 12th 2009 10:26AM Mark,

Jealous, much?

Congrats to this lady. I get a Diet Dr. Pepper a few times a week at McDonald's but I can't stomach fast food. Ewwwie it just tastes like rancid grease to me. But it would have been so cool to eat something and make money off it out of calories, heartburn, and cholestrol. heh.

I always wondered if that Monopoly game was a scam -I guess it's not. My son won a few meals and that was about it.

Once again, congrats! and ignore all the jealous and rude comments! Have fun all the way to the bank!
