Don't BlindlyTrust Your GPS Device {Gadling}

Jul 4th 2007 8:26PM I purchased a Garmin Nuvi GPS about three months ago and have taken it on two vacations. On both occations it proved invaluable as I was able to concentrate on driving while leaving the navigation to my trusty GPS. Anyone who drives into a river or onto a railroad track and blames the GPS isn't kidding anyone but the insanely daft. This article was baloney.

Akon Throws Fan Into Crowd {AOL Video Blog}

Jun 7th 2007 1:42AM Poor Akon...he's in the U.S. now and doesn't realize that actions like that have tremendously injurous results...to your wallet. The really pathetic thing is that if some obnoxious red-neck cracker went to a foreign country and pulled that type of self agrandizing crap his gaffe would create ambassadorial chaos. Akon go home and toss yourself of a stage.

Oh and kid...sue the pants of his ass...and then go to reform school where they teach you not to throw things at other people just to look cool...you little schmuck.

The Airlines Hate Us {Gadling}

Apr 2nd 2007 10:19PM Dear Travelers,

Please allow me to interject into your tales of traumatic travel and miserable mishaps to illuminate some of the realities of travel today.

1: There is an old adage that still holds true: If you've got time to spare, go by air. If you are going ANYWHERE par avion take a damn book, an Ipod, a soft travel pillow and get ready for WHATEVER. Be it rain, sleet, snow, a warning light on the flight deck of the plane you are about to board or a pilot who just lost his lunch on the way to the airport there are going to be delays. Delays you, nor the customer service agent, nor the people around you in line can control. If you are so inclined, get in touch with your personal saviour and see if he or she can move things along. Until then shut up and smile. No one should ever act surprised when their flight gets cancelled or diverted as it happens every day.

2. If you are going on a trip for the love of all that is sacred please don't take your entire wardrobe. It is also a good idea not to expect to see the things that you check again. If you consider the logistic nightmare that is created by oversized/overweight/overpacked luggage then the odds become slightly more clear. Wear khaki's and t-shirts on all of your upcoming flights.

3. In your carry-on have everything you would need for three days away from home with only THAT bag. Don't check ANYTHING that is of real value, sentimental or otherwise. Take all of your medications onboard with you in your carry-on, the same goes for your house and car keys.
If you have something of real value or tremendous importance send it Fed-Ex and insure the hell out of it.

That's all for now...really though...when you feel like a 14 hour trip from California to Dallas was "traumatic" consider how your ancestors felt about the wagon train and then go have a latte.
