Aug 31st 2010 11:21AM I'd fly where it's warm. Every weekend. This SF fog is starting to get me down :)
Jul 1st 2010 11:51AM LACROSSE! NATIONAL SPORT IS LACROSSE!
Sorry, that was the closest approximation to how loudly I yelled it at TBEX in the hopes of winning that via rail trip.
Great post, Andrew! A succinct and lovely introduction to travel in my home and native land.
Jan 22nd 2010 2:10PM For me, I can't listen to music (I tend to start bopping along with the beat) but I DO have to have my ears covered. It's a strange thing, but I will sleep straight up in my chair for the entirety of a mid-day 8 hour flight in coach as long as my ears are covered and warm. I agree that sweatsuits on a plane just don't work, but I HAVE to have either a scarf or a soft hoodie that I can secure over my ears. From there, it's down to making sure I don't spread out in my sleep and get hit by the bevvy cart.
Dec 28th 2009 1:42PM Pretty sure the image of some sad sack dragging around an empty half of a Slanket just ruined my post Christmas buzz. How do you transcribe the sad Snoopy music, a la Arrested Development, in a comment?
Dec 28th 2009 1:24PM Great post - the Canadian supermodel reference made me instantly put on my Avenue Q soundtrack. Question though - what happens if your Siamese Slanket partner leaves you? Can you re-sell a separated Slanket on the black market? Does the left side miss the right side? Someone should consider the ethical implications.
