Plane Answers: Is there a pilot shortage coming? {Gadling}

Oct 19th 2009 11:38AM All the major international airlines to survive will merge or routes shared such as the proposed partnership between Iberia , BA and American airlines so even fewer pilots will be needed.
BA has just recorded its highest loss ever and Japan JAL looks like being bailed out by their government for the second time in a decade.I have been involved in travel for over 20 years aairport parking company and thought 9/11 was as low a point but I have never seen anything like the past year. Would not be surprised to see a major airline go to the wall. Lehman brothers was only 12 months ago.

Plane Answers: Airlines see green in appearing green {Gadling}

Oct 16th 2009 8:14AM The same can be said for cars that operate best at say an average 50 miles per hour.
We operate a East Midlands airport parking http://www.flypark.co.uk/east-midlands.html facility and despite government attempts to persuade travellers to use public transport, lugging baggage through bus or rail stations with several changes is never going to be their first choice.
Goverment money would be far better spent improving the motorways to get the traffic flowing instead of fighting a loosing battle trying to get travellers to use public transport.
