Donald Driver's Father in Hospital, Claims He Was Beaten by Police Officers {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Nov 21st 2008 9:06AM I believe all cop cars are now equipped with cameras. We should be seeing the video on this soon. I'm very skeptical about this man's story. I also know that many times cops step over the line so I'm not suggesting that they are perfect by any means. Can we see the film?
Attleboro, Mass. threatens blind woman over 1-cent water bill {WalletPop}
Nov 19th 2008 9:38AM I am a disabled person living on a very limited income in Durham, NC. I just got home from the hospital after an illness and after opening my mail noticed that I had two collection letters. One was from the Sheriff's office telling me they were going to seize my car for a $200 tax (personal property tax) bill that I didn't even know I owed. The next letter I opened was a bill threatening to put a lien on my home for a $75 past due dog owners fee. So, it's a matter of getting my medications (I'm on Medicare but in the doughnut hole) filled or paying the city $275 fees. For fear of having my car seized I just put $275 in my mail box and will do without my meds.
The Affirmative Case: Jay For Obama {Politics Daily}
Oct 14th 2008 12:51PM Everthing this blogger references is how wonderful Mr. Obama is with his speech and I totally agree. He is a wonderful speaker. BUT that's where it ends. He has accomplished very little if anything in his political life and what is more disturbing is his affiliations with people "on the fringe" of our society. Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, Louis Ferechan (excuse spelling) just to mention a few. If there was only one I could understand it but this kind of thing comes up over and over and of course, the media refuses to fully investigate it. We should be very afraid, America. I do not want to live under a socialistic government. If Obama is elected president of this great country we will be headed in that direction. Please, please DO NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. I beg you, America do the foot work yourself. Look at McCain's record and then look at Obama's record. Now vote for the one that you feel has done more, not the one with the flowery words. Remember Hitler was a great speaker too.
The Affirmative Case: Tommy For Obama {Politics Daily}
Oct 10th 2008 6:23PM Every thing this blogger speaks to is around one word in the English language and thatis "WORDS". Obama has accomplished nothing in his short political career BUT he is brilliant with WORDS. My grandfather often told me not to listen to a man's words but to look at his actions. When I look at Obama's actions, I have to say there is nothing to this man. He is dangerous and that is what is making the GOP angry. John McCain should be doing more to bring the truth to the American public who can't seem to figure it out themselves. We may just have to lose this one and pay the price. I sure hope and pray to God that we won't.
The Affirmative Case: Dave for McCain {Politics Daily}
Oct 10th 2008 6:14PM I will vote for John McCain because I think he has the experience to be the next president of the United States of America. He is an honest, no nonsense kind of person and while he has been a part of the Washington scene for a long time, he is a mavorick (yes I said it) when it comes to corruption. I ask everyone to look at McCain's political accomplishments and compare them to his apponents. In fact, I dare anyone to name even one political accomplishment of Obama and if you can give me just one, I will look seriously at voting for the man. JUST ONE, THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING FOR.
Yuck. Fetus found in Continental airplane bathroom {Gadling}
Mar 31st 2008 4:35PM Yuck? It's not feces, it's a human being!! Unfortunately this is the kind of respect a lot of people give to an unborn child. And the writter hopes the mother is OK? Well so do I but I can't help but wonder if she thinks about how "OK" her baby is. Yuck? Writter get a grip!
Tyra Banks Scolds Britney Spears {AOL Video Blog}
Sep 14th 2007 5:16PM This was NOT lecture given to Britney. This was on America's Next Top Model.
AOL your true color is showing. Before putting such things on your news page, don't you think you should check it out. Or did you know already and publish it anyway? I have a feeling the later is true.
I have absolutely no respect for AOL's so called news pages. It's all a bunch of garbage.
Tyra's Fat Attack {AOL Video Blog}
Jan 31st 2007 5:33PM Tyra,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I so appreciate what you are saying to the young (and old) women in this country and the world. Some talk show hosts talk about the next fad diet and make us feel like we have to continue on this dieting roller coaster. That may work fine for some but not all of us. Good health is one thing but I am convinced that dieting does more to harm our bodies than help us. God Bless You for your good work.
Brian Williams Gets Annoyed {AOL Video Blog}
Jan 23rd 2007 4:09PM I just don't understand what the big deal is about this? Brian Williams seemed a little perturbed (an ego thing) when he was interrupted at the end of his critique. But what the heck, the women were just trying to defend their report. Falling off the chair was a little over the top but I really do believe that AOL is making a whole lot about nothing. Another slow news day, AOL?
Seven Days of Style: leopard prints {Stylelist}
Sep 14th 2006 5:43PM What I find so disturbing and offensive about this is that the writer assumes that the majority of American women are willing to have sex on the second date. I am an attractive single woman and wouldn't think of it. And as far as what you male readers think of my values, I could care less.
