Yes, They're Making a Magic 8 Ball Movie {Cinematical}

Apr 29th 2010 5:20PM Need I point out that the photo is entirely wrong? The 8 and the window are at opposite ends of a magic 8 ball.

The Daily Fix: How to Unclog a Toilet {DIY Life}

Apr 28th 2010 7:07PM I find that if you loosen the bolts on the side

about 2 inches and vigorously shake the toilet

from side to side the bowl will empty. If that

don't work, you need to turn your air on high

and run water in all the sinks in the house.

The positive pressure from the aircon combined

with the negative static pressure of the water

passing to the sewer lines is usually enough to

do it. Or you can just go with a plunger. That

always works no matter which end you use. Just

be consistent.

When Plates are Stacked Against You - What Can I Get You Folks? {Slashfood}

Apr 13th 2010 8:40PM I agree. One should never stack china for the servants. This is a menial task which should only be performed by those who lack the knowledge or skill to do anything worth-while with their lives. If you find your table neglected upon finishing, you should simply whistle or firmly snap your fingers to get the attention of your servant. Failing that, you may inform the owner of his mistake in hiring the wait staff. When feeling particularly cheeky, you may sweep the china to the floor and instruct the staff to add it to your bill in lieu of a tip.

I Was Bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider {Asylum}

Apr 9th 2010 6:55AM I was bitten years ago when I was sleeping on the back deck of my tank in Fort Hood. When I woke up, I felt like my leg was on fire. I had a big blister with a red streak going up to my knee. I went to the medic who identified it as a brown recluse bite and had me shipped to the TMC back in the rear. Unfortunately, there was a P.A. on duty there who didn't know her ass from a hole in the ground. The P.A. is not a medical doctor, but carries the same weight in the military. She calls this a burn, which I told her was stupid because one does not burn one's self inside a sleeping bag. Anyway, the stupid bitch sent me home with pain meds and some clean dressings. After the blister broke and I saw the hole in my leg, I was on my own. For months, I scrubbed the site with a vegetable brush and hydrogen peroxide. I had different kinds of antibiotics at home from unfinished prescriptions that I took in large doses until they ran out. It took 6 months to go from a hole I could stick my finger into up to the first knuckle to a raw, tender covered depression. I'll never trust the military health care system again. That's what you get when the government supplies your health care, though. They get the lowest bidder in contracts and get the cheapest substitution for a real doctor. Just hire some bum who barely passed med school and can't get a job in the private sector. but I digress. I read in the paper some time after I healed about a little girl whose bite went untreated. She got gangrene, lost her leg, then lost her life. She was mis-treated at a military hospital, too. When Obama-care is in full swing, you'd better be ready to treat yourself when your provider is a bone-head. When the government is paying the bills, they don't pay for second opinions, or even good first ones.

Opinion: I Had a C-Section - Does That Make Me Less of a Mother? {ParentDish}

Mar 17th 2010 6:21PM Normal childbirth is a method that naturally follows the way the reproductive system was designed. That is a vaginal birth. A surgical procedure falls outside that definition making it abnormal. Sorry if the proper use of the english language annoys you. For those of you who say that a c-section is "normal" for you, remember that pedophiles would say that a sexual attraction to children is "normal" for them. That kind of changes your perspective, I hope. Don't get so hung up on words. They hurt alot less than ANY form of childbirth. Get over yourself.

Army Suicides Grow, but This Soldier Was Saved {Politics Daily}

Mar 12th 2010 6:12PM All of the suicide training we get finally pays off. Thank God SPC Sanders had a good battle buddy. All too often, good men and women are driven over the edge during long deployments by events back home they have no control over. Most of you have no idea what it is like watching your world spiral away from you and there's not a damned thing you can do about it because you are half a world away doing your duty. You are shot at and mortared, tasked with great responsibilities, spend sleepless nights on watch, and it's all good. It's what you trained for. You can't train for some selfish and weak civilian back home who loves you when you are home, but betrays you when you need them most.
Thank you to all of you military wives and husbands who are patient and decent and respect what your warrior is doing. All of you who are selfish, cheating, and being a burden to your spouse can go straight to Hell.

The Real Reason Disney Changed 'Rapunzel' to 'Tangled' {Cinematical}

Mar 9th 2010 9:04PM Kevin, I think your comment must have struck a chord with the author of the article. This is the first time I have seen a reply from the article writer. BRAVO!
Erik, I am sure that if you watch the movie you will see that the title fits. Just take a few steps back and think about the literary implications of the word "Tangled". Wish I could explain it to you, but you need some imagination to to understand how a classic story could be told in a contemporary age.
Seems to me you should be more worried about your manhood if you are talking about "de-girling" a movie.
As the title goes... Let the market decide.
