Killing The Pig: The Annoying Foodie Obsession With Pork {Gadling}

Aug 10th 2012 12:03PM Americans have a weird way of hyper-focusing on certain things, then the love affair ends. Now that most people have the attention span of a gnat, I expect the pork love affair (obsession as noted) will wane.
Cook and eat good food; the best you can afford sourced from the people that love what they do. That's how I try to roll..

15 more great cities for drinking beer {Gadling}

Mar 28th 2010 2:18PM Loves me some Prague beer drinkin'.
And this is coming from a West Coast Ale person. I could go there once a year.
In the US, San Diego has it all over just about any other city besides Portland, though.

Big Apple beats the Mouse: New York City tops tourists' lists {Gadling}

Jan 5th 2010 6:48PM Hope I helped a bit since I went for a few days in Sept.
Greatest city in the world, nothing like it.
Prague is the most beautiful place I've been. I think I had the most fun in Amsterdam. But I still get excited when it's time to hit NYC again.

We were there when they set up the holiday stuff in 2006.
Just lovely, I would go back to Prague any time, it's amazing.

Rome cab drivers forced to be honest {Gadling}

Dec 1st 2009 5:22PM A little research goes a long way before you travel somewhere.
This is why I tell people, study the damn map when you are going somewhere!!
And for more than just this reason. Google maps is your friend.
The first time I went to NYC, I called out a cabbie that tried to pad the fare a bit in Manhattan.

Bourbon, beer, wine, and equines in Kentucky's Bluegrass region {Gadling}

Nov 17th 2009 7:20PM I've been to Louisville only once (for the Lebowski Fest) but the short time that I was there and drove down to bourbon country, it was quite enjoyable. And very lovely.
I also recommend hitting both Jim Beam and Makers Mark. I liked the older parts of the city with the restored turn of the century homes. I cried at how reasonable they are comparable to the same house here in San Diego..
We flew into Nashville, stayed there a couple nights, they drove to Louisville and flew home from there. Nice trip. BTW, anyone making that trek, be sure to stop at Jimmy D's BBQ in Bowling Green, KY. That is some tasty pork.
