Nov 20th 2012 12:47AM For Pat Lukes, So you like Travel Agents. You surely do realize they all charge a commission for a job we don't like to do ourselves, at times as high as 30%. I still say for the best deal bypass them all and keep your options open. The vast majority choose the so called easy way and book thru an agent... Do the math, although it seems easy you lose in the long run....
WE all have options, try using them and see the benefits.. Big chains? or small business... We all have a choice.... Choose wisely..... Tom : )

Nov 20th 2012 12:37AM I would say to maximize your travel pleasure, simply avoid the big hotel or motel chains altogether, NONE of them are user friendly. All of them use some imagined market based stupid formula designed to benefit them, I say BS, boycott them. If you travel alot for pleasure or even business, seek out the local Bed and Breakfast. These have much to offer, a more pleasent family atmosphere as opposed to Apartment living...... That way you avoid the annoying noise of every kid in the neighborhood just outside your window, as well as the ridiculas prices as bad as Beach front property in the middle of the desert.... It's your money, what's just left your wallet...... : ) Tom

Apr 6th 2011 1:38PM I find it SICKENING that many here support what the Police did to this 8 year old Child regardless of his outburst. Why not just SHOOT the Child DEAD.... This Child obviously needs help... So why condemn him the way you do?? In today's society it's just TOO easy to blame others because of OUR OWN short comings. If YOU really want to BLAME someone, Then BLAME Washington for sacraficing the Education of our Children for the sake of their bottom line... People HERE should be ashamed of themselves for supporting the Actions of the Police here. This is " NOT JUDGE DREAD HERE ", and having an Appocolyptic view of our troubled Children is just plain STUPID and anyone who supports this absured action is a just plain STUPID ASS. Should this trend continue, it may be the STATUS QUO to line up ALL offenders 5 years to 80 on a wall and just shoot them, then WE ALL lower ourselves to the status of Lybia, Syria, Iran and any other oppressive regime. Many of those who are posting here probably have Children who are not model citizens either or normal and may have alot in common with this 8 year old. WE ALL have frustration, but to vent it on an 8 year old?? Come on you cannot be serious, when there are SO MANY other more dangerous situations America is currently facing today?? And one of the MOST dangerous is our CURRENT President, Barak Obama... Get your HEADS out of that very DARK place and think about what it is your spewing here. YOUR Child may be next........

Apr 6th 2011 1:04PM First of all, we need to understand that Children EMULATE what the Parents do. This Child is probably doing that same behaviour experienced at home, that is where the problem is born.. I think Pepper spraying an 8 year old is just wrong, why not just restrain him?? It's not he's 6'5" and 250 pounds and an established criminal. The Mom should SUE for the use of excessive force and the infliction of additional emotional harm based upon the situation... What's next, shooting a Child for threatening someone?? This is NOT Syria or Lybia, this is America, what has happened to a more Humanitarian approach?? For Police to use this kind of retaliation against a Child say's volumes of abuse of the system that is supposed to protect us. This kind of action should be reserved for TERRORISTS and NOT 8 year old American's.... Shame upon them..

Mar 18th 2011 2:20PM I am glad these old rides are gone. Born in 1953, I have been to Disneyland Many times and even as a child although excited, I noticed just how PHONY a lot of it really was. The Submarine ride did not have ANY living creatures and had ugly moss all over everything. The Saucer ride was lousy and would have been better with Multiple riders(4-5). But like everything else it must change with the Technology and today should be a much better experience. I do feel the cost accociated with admission is outrageous as well as the cost of lousy food. I guess it's still OK for those who live in Cartoon Land with NO real value for their money, but even they have more fun with modern Video Games which are more realistic compared to Disneyland. I think today if Walt Disney was still alive he would be sick to his stomach to see his dreams overtaken by Money Hungry executives who pray upon ALL visitors to Disneyland. All one has to do is watch the Videos of Walt back in the day as he described his dreams and vision of his creation. Other than a statuesqe image of Walt, his true dreams have faded and have been replaced by MONEY..... A sad day for WALT....

Effectively barring either Parent from access to the fund that would have a custodian for the fund.
