Oct 6th 2009 12:43PM Letterman has become mean spirited the past few years, his humor often seems aimed at people rather than things. I can imagine a meeting between his PR people scripting his apology, to make sure no sponsors jumped ship. I am surprised no crocodile tears were shed although he probably saved them for home. Dave has shown his true colors and they are very dark and narcissistic. He appears to be seething underneath a common characteristic of dry drunks. His over the top reaction last Fall to Palin and then McCain's canceling his appearance spoke volumes of "Don't You Know Who I Am". I am pretty sure most of the public knows. Not that it matters he is an entertainer, change the channel or watch. Your choice but he is not nor should he have ever been elevated to moral compass, he is a denizen of a town that thinks sodomy of a thirteen year old after giving her ludes and booze is not rape. In contrast his behavior seems very trivial.
