Alan Ket, Graffiti Artist, Says His 'Murderers' Mural Was Censored by NYPD {AOL Real Estate}

Jul 27th 2012 11:56AM There a lot of angels to this action: 1)
Were the police acting on a court order or on their own? If on a court order then we have a different problem. If on their own then they are vandals. If I paint over someone elses building/property then I can, and probably would, be arrested for vandalism. In this case 2) who will arrest these TWO law officers? If they are arrested then who will provide rapid response to the buildings owner in case of trouble? The fellow officers of the two? Remember this is New York where possession of weapons is not allowed. Also, remember when seconds count the police are only minutes away - what was the response time for the recent Colorado shooting? 10 minutes.
IMHO, given the info given, these two officers should be punished for vandalism. Good luck.

20 tips for surviving a summer road trip, courtesy of touring musicians {Gadling}

Apr 14th 2011 10:30AM On camping equipment: a couple of years ago, I think along I-70, I stopped for a break at a rest center (gas, food, etc) and as I was leaving there was a girl ( sorry ladies – a long haired individual) asleep in that "lost" space at the end of a diagonal parking strip. In sleeping bag and apparently comfortable on the

The Classicist: VO Guns Debuts the Falcon, World's Most Expensive Rifle, for $820,000 [EXCLUSIVE] {Luxist}

Mar 29th 2011 9:44AM Damascus steel ?!? IMHO, all this rifle is good for is to sit in the "house" and look pretty! Damascus steel is a 2,000+ year old process. It is made up of thin layers of steel "force welded" (heated and pounded) together, folded and repeated several times.

For knives this is OK and if done well can yield an attractive, useful blade. However, unless there has been a GREAT improvement (which I sincerely doubt) in the process, it is DANGEROUS in gun barrels. Due to the thin layers of steel the Damascus steel gun barrels will not stand up topressures (10s of thousands PSI) generated by modern powders. The layers can (I have been told WILL) split causing personal injury of death.

Light Bulbs Advertised as 'Green' Contain Arsenic and Lead: Study {WalletPop}

Feb 16th 2011 11:20AM I agree but the point is immaterial. Congress has essentially out-lawed the incandesant bulb. Next year they are history unless we get them to correct the error. However, to many votes ride on green.

Light Bulbs Advertised as 'Green' Contain Arsenic and Lead: Study {WalletPop}

Feb 16th 2011 10:57AM Anne @ 8:58,
Community collection is great, IF you can meet the criteria. Like here in our city: Go to city hall and find the correct person to get a disposal permit ticket for a place in line; Hope the line is not to long for the time allowed; Get to the location (on the other side of town); Wait for your "turn" and HOPE you get to the head of the line before the facility closes for the year. GOOD LUCK!

Ain't hope and change great.

The Rich are Happy but Not Unscathed {AOL Jobs}

Feb 2nd 2011 7:17PM Yes, Patricia, there are those who own yachts, but very very few. Those who can really afford what you're talking about are the star athletes and rockers who are supported by those who have bought into the class envy efforts of some polititions. That's how they stay in office - promising to give you whatever you want.
How can you need so much when you have a computer and pay a service provider? Do you live in a house or apartment? I have seen people living under bridges and in boxes. They are the ones who have NEEDS! When was the last time you ate in a soup kitchen? WOW, you are struggling to pay your bills. Thank God you have the things you have to pay for. Do you really NEED all those things? I doubt it.

The "rich" you have been told to hate -- Oh the H*** with it.

Feb 1st 2011 10:56AM I don't blame you for not going to that place again. But, you are condeming the whole chain on one incidence, and even that one could be good on another shift.

Tribute Coins May Be Pretty -- But They Are a Pretty Bad Investment {WalletPop}

Jan 19th 2011 12:07PM Right on. If you are older you will remember the "pet rock" craze of the 70's. How I wish I had thought of that! There were even people paying others as "rock sitters" while they were at work.

5 frank cruise tips the cruise line won't tell you {Gadling}

Jan 3rd 2011 10:59PM Dawn, Yes, tours on shore are cheaper than the ship price. However, I always heard that if a SHIP tour ran into trouble the ship would wait for its return. Not so with private tours.
Last cruise, through the canal, a ship's tour DID have a bus break down and DID wait for its return.
Local tours are good, once we got one in Ketchekan, AK and covered the totum park and the ancient native village for less than one of them through the ship. The ship split them for more than the one we took. However, we were back in time for lunch and the ship didn't leave til about 4.
Use you head and don't press the departure time.
Have FUN!

Obama's Hawaii Retreat: Available for Rent {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 26th 2010 9:55AM Precious, Why do you prejudge so much? You say,"most of Americans live in homes like that,..." Get real. It's 4,951 square feet and a "steal" at $6,900,00. My first house was close to 1,200ft2 and most apartments are maybe 3/4 of that 1,200.
You write '"A house divided will fall" - True. And "...when you look at a Black person you only see where their ancestors came from and not where the person came from." Then why do they call themselves "Africas"?
You talk about and condem hating when your text drips with hate. "Remove the beam" from your eye before you remove someone elses mote
