Oct 6th 2009 5:15PM We just can't afford to go to the most popular places. So what we started doing was checking out http://www.redweek.com for real budget timeshares to rent (they are always very nice, though), no matter where in the country they are, and this way we can stay in a nice resort, see a part of the country we'd never thought to go before, and save money. For example, we've enjoyed trips to Egg Harbor, Wisconsin and McCall, Idaho, both really beautiful places!

Sep 20th 2009 11:37AM I was excited to see your reference to http://www.redweek.com. We got turned on to renting timeshares and we're hooked. We have 2 kids and for the four of us we can have a fantastic vacation for a fraction of what it costs to stay in a hotel. With children the extra bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen - all makes sense. To say nothing of being able to enjoy the resort's amenities - all for one low rate. We use redweek.com exclusively, and have stayed in timeshares all over this country, and down in the Caribbean. They simply can't be beat!
