Tapas in Barcelona {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

Apr 16th 2007 10:46PM Jason:

Remember in 1999 - the ( Internet entrepreneurs and experts) dinner we had in Barcelona ? I believe it was at the Siete Portals. We were all in BCN for the IGC conference and I was also working with a Barcelona based portal called Telepolis - who wanted to come to the USA to compete with Starmedia. Both companies were eventually swallowed up by Terra ( or the remnants in the case of Starmedia )

I get to Barcelona about once a year now, and do like the Comtal the best!

Feb 26th 2007 10:31AM Jason :

Years of big late dinners and drinks,receptions,etc. have really packed on the pounds for me. What I'm doing is rollerblading about 5 miles a day,swimming one mile and weights, along with a combined South Beach/low cholesterol diet. Down about 7 pounds in 2 weeks - with many more to go.

Oct 28th 2006 10:28AM Suriname is so hard to get to from the States , it may as well be an island. From Amsterdam, home of Suriname's former colonial master there are flights on KLM several times a week. Air Suriname is banned by the FAA for safety reasons. The most direct way from Miami is to fly to Curacao and then connect on KLM or Air Suriname to Paramaribo. There's only two or three flights a week. ArcticTropic http://www.arctictropic.com has some good information on Suriname destinations and adventure travel providers. Click on the South America map and scroll down to Suriname. The links lead to the provider's website and exact visual location on Google Earth.

Patagonia Hotels {Gadling}

Oct 28th 2006 9:39AM ArcticTropic http://www.arctictropic.com is an excellent place to learn about Patagonian estancias ,hotels,trekking,fishing,iceclimbing,etc. When you arrive at the home page,simply click on the South American continent. On the drop down country menu choose Argentina or Chile. You will find an extensive list of locations and providers. When you click for more information there will be a direct link to that outfit's website , as well as the exact location visualized on Google Earth.

Oct 27th 2006 8:43AM "and delicious food to be found all over the island"

Actually when you look at a map of the northern coast of South America you notice that Suriname is a country located on the continent, not an island.

Oct 20th 2006 5:37PM Actually after a few similar comments, we eliminated the regional search associated by country, as it was confusing. Try the site now and see how easy it is - find what you are looking for by activity or country. Our destiantions have moved beyond Latin America now.
