Sep 6th 2009 4:57PM A friend of mine got these and swears by them.
However, I must put in a good word for the apple in-ear buds which I use.
Sure, at 79 bucks, the quality may not be quite as professional as the ER-4P ones, but I have not compared them so I can't really say.
What I can is that I do use them without music just to block sound, and when wearing them on the plane, the flight attendants actually have to tap me on the shoulder because I can't hear them shout "excuse me!" at me.
They also have a little volume adjuster and play/pause/skip thing on the cable which is very handy, but you can only use it if you have one of the newer ipods or iphones.

Sep 6th 2009 1:19PM Hi Tynan,
I stumbled upon your blog via a youtube video on packing, awesome stuff, thanks for sharing!
I have a question though.. will a 13" macbook fit into the pack as well?
Yes, I know, travelling with a 13" MB is not exactly the best start when planning to travel light, but I've yet to find a smaller/lighter one that will work for what I do, so don't judge me :(
