Apr 26th 2010 3:02PM If you were to read my post more carefully you would see it was in context to other posters stating that maybee now the bullfighter had learned a lesson. I was commenting that as in NASCAR the participants are fully aware of the dangers beforehand. My greater concern in all these posts and the article in general is that it seems a tremendous waste of self-rightous indignation directed toward another culture (coincidently mexico?) especially when looked at in the light of animal abuse where we in america are much greater perveyors of HORROR towards animals via factory farming practices. Once again how about an article on factory farming practices AOL with nice color photos?

Apr 26th 2010 1:04PM I didn't try to justify this sport I'm only trying to bring to light that more cruelty is being done to animals by our country and the ignorant comments that ensue are only because our media is very particular in what they tell you and why. Abuse and cruelty to animals? What about to your own citizens? No, in America you cannot win an argument by playing dodgeball but you can win it by controlling the media. If my comments are irrelevant how will I ever be able to express them if the relevant context is never entertained? Sorry if my independant thought didn't jive with you "free thinker"

Apr 26th 2010 11:54AM The fact that the matador almost died relects that this sport has a relatively level playing field. While I cannot speak for the bull,given this animals agrresive nature if I were he I would prefer to die trying to kill a human rather than be factory farmed in the good old USA. Timefor AOL to show some snapshots/article ofthe horrendous conditions in factory farming. People in glass houses.....
And as to all the comments to the effect of the bullfighter learning his lesson Do your redneck nascar drivers learn their lesson when they almost die? they understand the risks they crave the glory same thing with the bullfighters. Besides they're only giving you the gore that you crave.
