Click and Support Veterans via Facebook and Twitter {Blackvoices Main}

May 30th 2011 8:47AM I am a viet nam vet, though not as damaged as most. People hated us for serving, even when we came back. I had a wife and kids so I had to work. I guess it helped me. Veterans benefits expired before I could go to school. Even when I was in we talked about loyalty. God comes first, then family, then country. I've been divorced so many times I suppose my loyalty doesn't make it to family. After 30 years I'm starting to get to know my son. I don't care much about this country, do you blame me? Most of the time it's just God and me.

How to Save on Gas as Prices at the Pump Climb {WalletPop}

Feb 26th 2011 8:26AM I agree but there is little if anything we can do about it. Here are some tips; if you need a higher octane, or if you get better mileage with higher octane gas, try buying octane boosters at walmart and using cheap gas. Also hot roding your engine can improve efficency which will translate into more performance for the same mileage OR if you have a light foot- better gas mileage. Not everything but many basic things are labeled "better gas mileage" in the hot rod magazines such as JEGS. I even enjoy zooming from light to light without spending any more on gas than I used to. Check your warrantee first - it may void your warrantee. Of course if you can install it you can also remove it BEFORE you go to the dealer.

Ask the AKC Animal Behaviorist: How Can I Help My Co-dependent Canine? {Pawnation OLD}

Feb 22nd 2011 6:40AM That is interesting, We have a cat with seperation anxiety from the dog she was raised with, and a Husky with the same for another stray who he always goes outside with. We had thought that he wanted to be out side because he whines all night, finally the wife put him in with the Sharpae (last night), and he is quiet!

Bill O'Reilly Fails at Science and Becomes a Meme - You Can't Explain That! {Urlesque}

Feb 13th 2011 12:21PM Thank You Bill!! He got right to the heart of the matter. Evolutionists can't explain the ORIGEN of life, they realize that it is MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the simplest single cell life to just happen, so they start backpeddling and say it was "seeded" by a "higher form of life", but don't say God or even Intellegent Design, or you will be black listed. The moon is another very good example. Life would not be possible for us humans if it were not for our very large, (proportionally speaking), moon. It is a dilema, because it could not have been formed when the earth was formed, could not have been pulled in by our gravity, It had to hit the earth at exactly the right angle of glancing blow to end up in orbit around the earth. These are very intellegent answers when you know the science. see "Expelled, no intellegence allowed" and "The Universe", season 1 & 2 each have programs about our moon. I believe season 1 adresses the problems with explaining how we got such a large moon. VERY GOOD BILL, most of these people are too ignorant to even understand what you are talking about!!!

Dollar General vs. Walmart--Price Comparisons on 10 Standard Grocery Items {WalletPop}

Jan 19th 2011 6:41AM I believe walmart does. At least I was overwhelmed when I saw the way the chinese are exploited. You have to see the Walmart Movie, available on netflix. This will probably be the future of unskilled workers. My heart goes out to walmart people, but not the company.

Marchionne: Jeep is finally getting a pickup... kinda {Autoblog}

Jan 11th 2011 10:22PM I agree. One more thing. syncronize the ratios between High and Low range so that with hubs unlocked, you can shift through close ratio low into close ratio high, even if there is an overlap. Not just for better Power and fuel consumption, but when you slap on some Big rubber, you wont burn up motors and rear ends. I never understood why they don't do that. They know that 50% of buyers are going to do that. Why not help us out? Same with jackin it up, They can make it easy or Hard. When people get into making modifications on a vehicle, then it becomes a classic.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics spotted in Abu Dhabi - is it closer to production? [w/video] {Autoblog}

Jan 9th 2011 7:41PM It looks awesome to me, I'm not worried about the glass, There is already plenty of safe technology out there. I saw a concept car for the corvette many years ago, The Mako Shark. They never really built it, but something with the same lines. The speaker summed it up when he said this is as much for our engineers, to give them a direction. BMW is "the driving machine" and they have set their goals High. 328HP from a 3cylinder Diesel? The Balance seems just a little heavier in the rear than the front, that seems odd. I noticed the row of Batteries down the center of the car aparently to balance the weight distribution, despite the Ultralight Composit Body and aluminum chassis, it still wont be as light as perhaps the older Lotus Europa, (A strong boy could pick up the front end). Really, any high school kid can tell you how to make Bio Diesel, I like the Diesel Idea.

GM seems to be going in the same direction, except with Gasoline engine and electric. They don't like to say "Hybrid"

I believe that people will not embrace energy efficent vehicles untill they can provide performance. Few of us would pay more for a vehicle which is boring to drive. I like the statement, perhaps in 10 years or so.....

Video: Next-gen Ford Ranger shows locomotive force {Autoblog}

Jan 6th 2011 4:00PM Sad, but my Chevy will pass this thing, gets better mileage, (22mpg), costs less, and I'm on my second V6. The first I gave to my daughter at 75000 mi. I changed the oil but she didn't. At 150000mi her family got too big and she got rid of it. I believe she changed the waterpump and an alternater. That was the 95, My new truck, (07) has a roller cam, roller rocker, engine. With a K&N filter, and a cat back exhaust, even V8s have a tough time keeping up with me. Pulling a locomotive is a great trick, but I never need to do that. Ford people like to show off. For example, I accelerate quickly to the speed limit, no burning tires, just quick. Then here come the Fords by me about 20 over the limit. They don't have acceleration but they sure have the power to speed. I often pass them while they are getting tickets. Ford is the number one choice of immigrents. Toyota is about the same. Soon we'll see a Toyota plowing the field after he pulls all those hay bales. I know they are good trucks. Chevy has always been the easiest to and cheapest to get more power out of, that is why I LIKE THEM.

Top 10 Workplace Trends for 2011 {AOL Jobs}

Jan 5th 2011 9:09PM Steve R certainly has depressing opinion, and a rather foul one too. I was 56 the last time I changed jobs, and I believe I could find another if I had to. Perhaps I could go back to where I came from, except I have Made a good reputation over the years. I work with people like Steve, who have tried to trash me, but I keep doing the best I can, not only at my TRADE, but in getting along with people. After a while, the people talking about me begin sounding like complainers, and people in general notice my accomplishments. My boss tells me he appreciates Christians because they can forgive others, and are usually humble. Although I don't have any degrees, I have always made more than most of those who do. I have always accepted the fact that as a craftsman I would make less as I near retirement, and I am at present. I have found that work is not just what I can do, but how well I get along with others. Following in Jesus footsteps has helped more than anything.
