Nov 11th 2009 7:58AM If it really has some sort of advanced moisture action then it could be a very good thing for people with certain medical problems or medication reactions who suffer from dry mouth. I thought the commercial was weird and certainly eye catching, but was not offended. People's strong reactions, whether positive or negative, will make it one of the most effective ads of the year!

A criminal matter is a public matter and it gets more public if you are a celebrity. He is allowed to make public statements of remorse but Rhianna can't say whats on her mind? Someone give this man a reality check and some domestic violence treatment.

Nov 1st 2009 3:14AM There are recovering addicts and there are recovered addicts. The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous promises full recovery. My husband had 17 years sobriety when he died at age 47 of brain cancer. He had no trouble being around alcohol or serving it at our home for social functions, though he chose not to be around drunks. He could have drank when he was diagnosed (I offered him the chance). He could have taken more pain pills and tranquilizees then you would believe because they were always available to him. They were prescribed for up to 4 a day and he took them about 2 or 4 times a week when he had a pain. I read to him from the AA Big Book on his death bed. I am not sure when the transition from recovering to recovered occured (probably around year 10 for him), but he died a sober recovered man when he had every reason in the world to drink and be high on all kinds of stuff for the 1 1/2 years he was sick. Of course the real miracle here is that both God and Bill Wilson (one of AA's founders) have posted on the internet. If my husband starts posting from the dead, I'm going to have a drink!

Oct 23rd 2009 4:05PM Dee asks why are 70 and 80 year old women still cooking? Uh...maybe they still need to eat! If senior citizens didn't cook, how will they eat and how will fmailies enjoy those special fmaily recipes passed down from each generation? My mother is 75 and there isn't a reason in the world she shouldn't cook. He doesn't act or look old and is totally on the ball mentally and physically.
That being said, I bet these robes were made from flammable overseas garbage and not natural cotton. What a horrible way for anyone to die. A bathrobe should not go up in flames and kill someone before they can get to a sink and put out the fire!

Oct 23rd 2009 10:10AM My husband died of brain cancer 4 months ago. We had insurance through a self-employ,ment group, but people don't realize that even with insurance you are in deep trouble if a catastrophic event hits. I am now declaring bankruptcy and losing my home. A public option for healthcare would have made a huge diffference for us because our insurance turned out to be terrible AND unafordale when I had to take time off from work to care for my husband. This guy in the article doesn't need a benefit concert. Tens of thousands of Americans need decent health insurace. When health insurers compete, health care costs wil be lower.

Oct 19th 2009 9:17PM I think this idea is ridiculous, but a small tax incentive for people to ADOPT from legitimate rescue organizaions and shelters rather buying overpriced pedigrees as pets would encourage more animal rescue.

Sep 26th 2009 1:12AM Posting about cases in which the identify of a patient is not disclosed and cannot be determined by the facts of the case is not a violation of confidentiality. It is also not a violation of HIPPA or confidentiality to vent or discuss situations as long as patient privacy is protected. I would thnk med students and grad students would know how to engage in this sort of communication without violating any laws, ethics or patient conficientialty. If students break the rules or disclose information which can be traced to a person by posting identifying information, they should be punished accordingly.
